  1. Are you sure it will work to stick them into %allusersprofile%? EDIT: No it will NOT work to create the QuickLaunch folder like described in the quote!
  2. @cluberti: Microsoft printmig.exe RULES! Beware there is a commercial product that does about the same with the same name... dont buy that! Just use the Microsoft tool thats free - its works perfectly!
  3. This works perfectly!! Thank you so much!! Note: If anyone is wondering you do NOT have to manually create the QuickLaunch folder. Windows will make it for you :-)
  4. It took me a long time to get the Logoff button enabled when using the classic start menu, seems I needed 2 entries - hope this helps someone else: ;Show logoff button on classic start menu [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer] "StartMenuLogoff"=dword:00000001 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced] "StartMenuLogoff"=dword:00000001
  5. I too am struggling to get QL enabled for Default User. It seems the regtweaks that are provided (also as suggested by someone else) does not work for other versions than English. I'm trying to get it running on a DK (Danish) version and it just seems useless!
  6. Please could you point out the things that are needed to be changed for this to work? I looked into it abit and figured out some of them, but I'm abit unsure... does the drivers need to be installed before running this script? Are these general Windows files or driver files? ' objDriverPath = "C:\WINNT\System32\Printui.dll" ' objInfname = "C:\WINNT\inf\ntprint.inf"
  7. hehe, no matter what response people give its always nice to see they took the time to open a topic, read the problem and give their reply. Thank you all again :-)
  8. @Cluberti: Im not installing Windows Media Player... it must be some hotfix thats causing this :-( However i cant figure out which one :-(
  9. Can someone please explain the difference between [setupparams] and [GuiRunOnce]? I have setup regtweaks to be run using setupparams and my applications to be installed during GUIRunOnce, but is this right? and if so, why? Thank you in advance! :-)
  10. Hi cyberyeye, Thank you for taking time to reply. However i dont know if you read my post? I am trying to NOT get WMP9 (nor WMP10) to get installed (Removed it using nLite). I will be using Windows Media Player Classic instead.
  11. The precise text in the dialog is: Headline: Windows Media Player 10 Text: System Restore is turned off. If you continue Setup, you will be unable to use System Restore to restore the version of Windows Media Player that was included with the Windows operating system that your computer is running. It is recommended that you click Cancel, turn on System Restore, and then upgrade to Windows Media Player 10. For more information about System Restore, see Help and Support. Do you want to continue? Buttons: OK / Cancel
  12. Hi BoardBabe, You can find the norwegian version here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...77-2ea6b45b41c6 I dont think we will be able to get the WGA from download.microsoft.com :-(
  13. Hi all, I really hope someone could give a tip towards what hotfix that is causing this problem. During my unattended installation of Windows XP there is a dialog box popping up regarding Windows Media Player 10. There are the options of pressing OK or Cancel. If i press OK i give up the chance of later undoing this change trough System Restore. However what is bugging me is i removed Windows Media Player trough nLite and as far as i see i have not included any hotfixes regarding to WMP. If you want i can include the list of hot fixes im using... Any tips? :-)
