  1. First of all, welcome to the forum. Few things in random order; -nLite is for personal use only, from what you describe, this might be relevant. -nLite GUI's language has no effect whatsoever on the process and output. Of course SPs and most updates have their proper language that should be properly choosen. -there are lots of asian users on the forum and there has never been any asumption that the program was not asian friendly. -to know what you've done wrong, we need to know exactly what you've done. Telling exactly what you're starting from and attaching the resulting ini file to your post is a good start.

    OOBE Question

nLite is (only) for XP. There a many flavors (Home, Pro, unattended, ...fiddled with...). Your clarification is confusing me even more. So you do want OOBE as opposed to something (?) that happened in the middle of installation. If you have OOBE with your original disk and you don't remove it (components section) nor disable it (unattended section), then you still have it in your nLited disk. So I gues what you need to do is get the unattended infos, remake the unattended part of your disk in your nLite session and re-enable OOBE if possible. I'm still not sure about what you had "in the middle" .

    OOBE Question

I don't know what version you use, but I'd rather say it normally happens almost at the end, not "in the middle". And no, nLite doesn't modify the install process sequences in that matter. You can always use unattended setting and rechange them later.
  4. In the great line, removed components should not appear anymore. You "can" nLite a disc more times, but certain sequences lead to chaos, like integrating a Service Pack or an addon depending on removed components, adding/removing users and others. XPLite disables components, nLite removes them. The concept is totally different. It's like puting your car's ash tray in the boot because you don't need it or leaving the spare wheel home to gain MPG. In the second case, a flat tire gets you stranded. Lots of your questions are about something nLite is not designed for and its developpement is stopped. + If you could please edit your first post to comply to rule 12 of the forum, it'd be nice. Every thread here is a "question about nLite". I'm very polite this time, so please don't react like this.
  5. This sums up the activation concept. Maybe you'll find out it was normal (note that it is a fairly old article and some things might have changed with Service Packs and other updates).
  6. I see "Integrate Drivers" in the selected options but no [Drivers] section in the ini file. Are your drivers supposed to be included in XP SP2 ? Or is it when you install them after your first boot that you can't install tem ?
  7. There is no update to nLite since a year and there won't probably ever be (see sticky and locked thread). User creation with nLite is quite picky. I don't know precisely what the "|False|False|False" mean but one is probably the cause of your problem. My guess is that you used that same ini files on your source and the user is already present maybe as inactive and that readding it as active makes no change or something like that. Do you work on a clean source ?

    Petition to Nuhi

    Check the "Where's Nuhi?" sticky.
  9. You already posted about a Seagate problems so you should know there are firmware updates. Check the manufacturer's site; http://seagate.custkb.com/seagate/crm/self...957&Hilite=
  10. I've had an install freezing like that at "registering components". After 2nd try, I simply restarted and install went on to finish. There was no problem afterwards. As it was an nlited XP, I thought the problem was comming from that (possibly the order in which drivers are installed??). See here also for same sympthoms but probably other cause if you are installing from an original disk.
  11. This F11 thing only works if the recovery partition is on the HDD (from factory) which is iobviously not the case with thazt new HDD you bought. It probably appears because you installed a new Bios. It can be deactivated altough it woàn't change much. Are you 100% sure the Bios upgrade was made for your specific model ? Can you create /format partitions from your BartPE disc and your HDD reported correctly from there ?
  12. This should be moved to nLite's subforum. Can you be more specific as what you did or do you expect us to google for "GDragon"? Also what you did "with nLite to", "and SP3". How exactly and in what order. First you should not integrate SP3 to a modified source and it seems that it is what you do.
  13. Do you want to change the key on a running XP ? If that is the case, there are explanations on how to do it on Microsoft's site. If that is not the case, and you do want to rebuild the ISO but just not go through the complete nLite process, just change the key in Winnt.sif, restart nLitze and only choose "build ISO" in the options menu. That will take 2 minutes.
  14. It's not the same model you state in the 1st post. for the ST31000340AS, check this: http://seagate.custkb.com/seagate/crm/self...951&Hilite= which leads to your firmware SD1A: http://www.seagate.com/staticfiles/support...are/ms-sd1a.exe
  15. Maybe you just need to enable "USB Legacy" or something like that in the bios for your keyboard to be effective at CD boot.
  16. You can try this: http://support.seagate.com/kbimg/utils/drivedetect.exe
  17. Have you checked the manufacturer's site ? It has a download button on the 1st page. +there are three sticky about Seagate Barracuda on this very forum.
  18. My first idea is a keyboard or mouse problem. Such as stuck key or inverted buttons. Try with an other keyboard or hold the keyboard upside down (computer off) and hit all keys as to release them or any crums.
  19. Easy hasn't posted since december 08, so hopefully someone who read the whole thread and knows more about that tool will answer your question. Chance is you'll be pointed to nLite and its text mode driver integration. nLite has much more options but you don't have to use them all.
  20. What exactly do you choose in the menus, as I understand you dont modify nor format any partition. Having the message "press any key to boot from cd" means it does see the HDD so I don't think it is a driver problem.
  21. Also there is no mention of the file "setup.exe" itself. The guide is flawed. Fujitsu does provide XP cds with their machines, they are also labelled "Product Recovery CD-ROM". Thanks Jaclaz for your translation. Next time someone refers to an italian site, I'll translate for you .
  22. Basically, nLite is not designed for what your guide describes. All I see is "if you're lucky, it might work" but there is absolutely no check on what is or is not on the CD. Chance is also that after hours of work, you do end up with a cd but, it does not allow you to install a perfectly working XP. If you have a valid licence (a sticker on your Amilo), get a corresponding XP version cd from eBay.
  23. Have you copied all files from your original MS Windows XP cd in that directory ?
  24. Eyeball, that was exactly my position when posting , untill I read Iamtheky's post which seems to raise the chance above 80%. Uid0, I'm talking autosense on cable level. Unless I'm the one using the wrong words in which case someone please correct me, I think you're talking "auto-negotiation". +I'm in a 100 vs "probably 1000" situation and I'll send instructions by mail or on the phone. That's why I can't just say "pick up a crosscable". I will report. Thanks.
