  1. All of you using nLite for SBS and other, remember that nLite's licensing is for personal use only.
  2. I never used that option but I think you need to fill in the macaddress for the device to be recognised as "NetAdapter1". I hope someone will confirm.
  3. First, if you check the last threads on the current page, there is one dealing with your question. Or you could search for "fully" in the thread's title and you'd get lots of results. Secondly, you cannot integrate updates on a modified set of files ("i deleted and closed some services"). You have to get back to XP SP3 before any further modification, then integrate your updates (and your modifications) from there in one go.
  4. Was burning OK before you installed that XP ? What OS did you have before ? Have you checked for updates on HP's site (looks like an old model) ?
  5. After nLite has finished processing the files, do you get a screen that has a "Make ISO" button and naming option, but you click "Next" instead because it seems more natural ?
  6. User creation with XP Home is quite picky if you skip OOBE. Im not sure you do (that might be indicated in the last "session_u.ini", remove your serial if you post it). It is very important that you start from an original as nLite mixes accounts (it's not designed to can't remove them) if previously added.
  7. I see you integrate updates for IE8 but IE8 itself is not integrated (or is it ?). Maybe you could have a look here.
  8. Open your "Last session.ini" file, search for "recycle" and answer your own question.
  9. Remember that nLite can't be used for any business purpose, just for personal use. It's in the User License Agreement.
  10. Partition Magic lets you transform (at least I have the menu here on version 8.0) a primary partition in a logical partition. But for the fact you already have an extended partition, I don't know if the (ex) primary can be integrated as 2nd logical in the extended. I'm not intending to test that now . Now for your "order", it all depends in what order your partitions will be listed. If your program lists partitions in physical order, 1st will always be 1st (I know it's obvious , but it is not clear what your goal is). If you're talking order they are listed in the disk's MBR, you can can change that with "Ranish Partition Manager" (be cautious). But you can only do that for primaries and extended (I'm talking using Ranish here, I'm sure Jaclaz will come and correct me as he usually does)... I don't see any way to change the order of logical partitions in an extended partition.
  11. Fine with me, but where do you get your IE7 package from and how does it get integrated? Can you test (virtual machines are a convenient way to test your iso) that at that point (before nLite), your problem is not already present?
  12. Are you starting with an original MS XP SP3 disc?
  13. It could be the user name being the same as the owner name. See end of this post.

    is it safe

Everything is safe to remove until you need it. You're the person who know what you are going to do with that machine, what you are (ever) going to need and what hardware drivers are involved. Also the reason why you remove things (short on HDD space, CD is full, need to install in less than 15 minutes) ? Mind you, fast XP install doesn't mean fast machine result.
  15. First, a laptop that comes loaded with Win98 is unlikely to run Vista "fine" for a few months (depending on the whole story). Secondly, you cannot upgrade from Vista to XP, so you had to start from scratch. --> do the same with your XP pro. Of course you erased you XP pro from your other machine to use that serial for your "new" laptop(?).
  16. Strangely, after I had my coffee , the date of the bin file inside the img file has changed and there's even a test version from may28th.
  17. The package I had says 5.0.3, the IMG and BIN files for floppy say 5.0 and are from march 2009. I see they've been updating few times and quite recently (to 5.0.10) but the floppy version apparently hasn't changed (the IMG file is still dated march 2009).
  18. You joking, right? Read "you" as "your system". I've tried it on a Toshiba notebook from ~2001 and on an Athlon mobo from 1999 without succes. So it's zero on 2 for me. Maybe later versions do better.
  19. It means that if you are running any of the above OSs (thus not ME), it will add a line in the boot.ini (or equivalent) to have a choice to boot from USB. There is also a version of PLoP on floppy (from the real PLoP site) but I don't think it will let you boot from USB (worth a try though).
  20. Booting your floppy drive (if in working order), you could clean/repartition your HDD and copy (via network) your XP install files to your HDD then launch setup from there. Check this link. Be aware that that thing will still be very slow once running XP.
  21. Most probably you have removed things (in a previous nLite session) before including SP3 which resets something that makes the installer think all those components should be present.
  22. I'd try creating the folders on E: and F: and see if XP uses them. I once used that option but I can't remember having such problem.
  23. ...in which case they'd even have to spend time repairing/testing it.

    NLITE BROADCOM

Is it possible you integrate more Broadcom drivers for the same series of cards but different versions in which case (I think it happened to me few years ago building a BartPE) XP might not find a match for your card in the first driver and not check in the next one ?
