  1. I think WinPE1.0 was not plug and play. BartPE needed a PnP plugin.

    nLite Reference Guide

Why, oh why are the FAQs from nliteos.com not referenced anywhere on ths forum ? I suggest you put a link to them in the 1st post of this thread or that a mod creates an additional sticky.

    Gaming mode

Everybody will come with their own requests, you have one, then a contradictory second already. See the problem ? +nLite 1.4.9.1 can be considered as the finished product.
  4. It is, but you changed from default to unattended, thus suppressing the repair option. For the key problem, you might try to integrate the SP manually (/integrate) under Win7 but from an "elevated Command Prompt".

    cmdide.sys error

iaAHCI.inf,iaStor_ICH8MEICH9ME this looks like a "Win9x" driver, might be (one of) your problem.
  6. Pretty slow as well, running Windows7 from external HDD on a (more than) 6 years old PC?
  7. How old is the laptop ? Do you have a flopy drive you can boot from ? If yes, download the floppy image from Plop Boot Manager (included in first zip file here: http://www.plop.at/en/bootmanagerdl.html) and that floppy might allow you to boot from USB. From there, check our sub forum "Install XP from USB".
  8. You might try to integrate those as well (I'm no expert here); ./Floppy32/xraid_f.inf ./Floppy32/txtsetup.oem (as text mode)
  9. Is it completely gone now (apart from the sponsor's)? I did sign out/in.
  10. If optical, does the light go off ? If yes, hardware problem.
  11. Why "before", why not using that option in nLite itself (Components/Advanced)? After all, this is the nLite forum.
  12. OK, this is a link to the last page. I thought titles like Best method to get all latest updates for 2003 and XP x32 and How to integrate all 'up to date' post SP3 system hotfixes? were obvious hints and a short answer to your question.
  13. A basic search would have got you further. Checking the threads on this last page of the forum, I see two on this exact subject.
  14. No. I can't see any reason nLite would change the names or folders and/or files while making the ISO. Either your source is dodgy (which we suspected from the start, you're supposed to start with an original CD anyway), or you place your folder on an unexpected place like the Desktop or other exotic place. The only info we have on that is your screen shot (source is originally on your BlueRay drive, but then....).
  15. Maybe this is relevant ?
  16. It took me 5 minutes to find the new "search" button ...which is not a button anymore.
  17. I can't it is already named I386. nLight changes when it makes it bootable. Do you mean the folder on your HDD is still named I386 after the ISO is created but is named Application Data inside the ISO ?
  18. Maybe the router is configured to allow only limited amount of connections at a time or restricted to specific MAC, or to only B or G network... ? Or you could try a search for your error message, that would get you loads of hits, this for instance; http://support.microsoft.com/kb/884787 .
  19. He has not, hence his question; why is this in the ini file? Sittingduck, except the three files that (you will surely agree) don't change much of the vanilla aspect of your install, the rest of the text is just read from the Windows defaults in your set of files (it changes nothing).
  20. Welcome to the forum. Very simple; -please edit your first post as every thread here is about nLite and "please help me" will make it hard for people to see what your thread is about (you might check forum rules about this to). -please read the big red bold announcement up your screen, it helps. Now for your problem, -Select "Bootable ISO" (last item) in the Task Selection screen. -When nLite has processed your tasks, it stops on the Bootable ISO screen. If you click "Make ISO", it makes it (you can choose path, file name and iso label). If you click "Next", it finishes (stops). This is a bit of a cosmetic glitch on that screen.
  21. Formating is a whole process, you don't format "part" of a partition, you format the partition or you don't. This erases all files (100%). Whether those are physically overwritten or not is an other question and depends on the method and the OS involved, but to the system, they are gone, the partition is empty. In your case, files that have not been overwritten by your new image can be recovered only using tools that are not included in Windows.
  22. Welcome to the forum. Your question has been answered hundred times, search for "invalid key" for instance. Or see this thread. Chance is you're running nLite and integrating the service pack under Vista. Try to integrate it either running XP instead or from an elevated command prompt using the adequate command line and switches of the exe file. And don't hesitate to read the big red bold announcement up your screen.
  23. sorry i forgot. anyway i managed to get it right. please read what you quoted here and do it.
  24. What do you mean by "reinstalling" the directory ? Recreating it ? What's in it at first ? How did it start ? Is this Windows XP (this is the XP forum) ?
  25. Have you checked the logon script with your Sys Admin ?
