You don't need anything special to run movie maker It started working after install this pack http://rapidshare.de/files/25721353/Advance.EXE.html MDGx I need you to analyze it to see whats allowing Windows Movie Maker to work without the updated shell32.dll from WinME/Kernel Update Project

I just did a clean install last night and i still get the error message only after i install MD Data Access Component Update 1.1 and Even when i download the Packages seperate from MS/Mdgx sites i still get the message and yes i have all the latest up dates from Mdgx site. I think its a bug that was looked over can somebody fix it?

Thats a great idea so i guess if he able to pull it off then i won't have a need for system restore. Then maybe Tihiy can create a User Interface for it then make it a exe file like how he did his Task Manager. And there you have it A very useful backup utility that low on resources and everything else. Win98 needs you guys

I was looking for something like this too I prefer to use MS System Restore cuz i'm not real heavy on 3rd party apps although i have a few and thats all i gonna have Now i hear people complain about how it can restore a virus if you cleaned your computer.The big ? Is what if you don't have a virus then system restore would be okay to use right.I figure since microsoft ending support i want need the internet for 98SE anymore i will use Xp to get infected with Virus/Malware but not my windows 98SE. Can some1 see if its possible to run system restore in win98se?

I think we should have a new service pack with the whole 9 yards in it like Gapes SP maximus-decim MDIE6CU 1.1/USB DX9 WMP9 Mdac 2.8 and every other hotfix/update from MDGx (all MS Updates) and the others all in 1 bundled package like XPSP2. But since support ends for Win98SE after this service is installed there will be nothing left to update because everything is included in this package.yeah the package might be big but it will be worth it instead of having the same/similar packages that would require multiple installations. I'm sure some1 can reduce the size to a reasonable download after editing and so forth removing all obselete files etc... I have over 200 updates installed on my computer and it remains under 1gb on my harddrive with other apps included and mines aint even trimmed down Updates ONLY No 3rd Party Apps Every Bite Counts 98SE SP3 Final would B a perfect name 4 it.

Whats the point of WGA when you have to get activation over the phone to use your copy of windows only after that why do legit users need it. Its just a Invasion of Privacy tool to keep tabs on our personal life.

I want to replace the Win98SE bitmaps with the WinXP bitmaps when i do that my icons in the toolbar and Windows Explorer are split in half.
