Whether its IE 5.0, 5.01 or 5.01SP2 if you want to install the Service Pack without errors you have to install one of the IE versions I listed above. Unless you are a 98lite user then theres no way around it.

This version is included in 98SE2ME. Its the WinME version. The WinXP version works great besides the systray icon bug. I have tested this in the past.

Can someone look into this issue and try to find a fix. I would like to add it to the Service Pack?

If you post the driver maybe some of us can test it out.

That is weird because I go through cableone for internet and they change my IP address once a month unless I pay for a static ip. How do I fix this? Also is has to be this forum or my username because even if I use a different IP range I still canNOT login.

It doesn't matter what browser or computer I use, I'm only able to login from my home computer.

Because a lot of updated files require IE 5.5 or IE6. And yes I did revise the page to specify IE versions so people who is running IE 5.01 would update their browser files. I'm sorry you having trouble, but there is a simple solution, update IE to one or the other version. Gapes older version would install on a clean installation.

I'm sure if you have installed the right version then you shouldn't get any of the errors you posted above. rsabase.dll is not included in the SP3 so I don't know where this error is coming from.

I've been having this problem for awhile now. It doesn't matter if I'm logged out or not. I can NOT login from another computer or cell phone. Deleting cookies and all that other stuff didn't help. Please note, this is the only site that does it.

No it doesn't. The only way to fix it, is to replace CABVIEW.DLL with the Win98 version.

You are right. All I need to do is set the flags in the inf to override any and all files modded or not. So if you install the Service Pack you will automatically get the modded versions. The timestamp or version won't matter. Thanks I'll try to put a list together of all modded/unofficial/patches etc.......

I just bought 2 laptops off craigslist for $50. Motherboard shot on both of them. I was able to get the CPU from one of them that upgraded my Dell C600 750mhz to 850mhz. Along with the ram and hard drives I would say I came out on top. Win98SE is smoking on that B!+ch

Totally agree. The thing is, we all need to be using the same mods so one can pin-point the problems and come up with a solution without any side effects. Until someone come up with a better solution, we all are going to have this problem. In the mean time I will consider you guys expertise. There is no guarantee I will take this approach in future updates in the Service Pack. One thing I will say, is that MDGx unofficial/updates/mods/patches has always been a reliable source. Until someone can prove otherwise I will update the SP with all the files from his site. P.S ANYONE HAS THE OPTION OF INSTALLING OR NOT INSTALLING SP3.
