I was using Opera ftp built-in client. It allowed me to connect to the server but I was not able to change files and folders. Yes I have permissions to make changes. Anybody know how to fix this?

I got the files extracted but there is no inf file inside the package.

Sorry guys I asked the wrong question. What I should have asked, do you know the proper command line switches to extract the files? If someone create a inf file I can add the whole package to U98SESP3 Here they are. /T test mode /X pathname extracts files into pathname /Z pathname extracts files into pathname and reboots /S silent install /M prompts for windows, system, temp dirs /M=filename specifies a value file similar to /d above, but for standard variables /M1 same as /m plus it prompts before any file that is self-registered /M2 reserved for internal use by Wise during debugger sessions

The patch is included in the U98SESP3. Now you don't have to install the SP but you will need to download and extract the file from the package.

OK, here's how to get the fully patched IO.SYS : 1. Start with the KB311561 (2001/12/1) version of IO.SYS. 2. Apply my version of Steven Saunderson's IO.SYS patches : http://www.geocities.ws/j_ds_au/general.html 3. Apply rloew's IO.SYS patch : It's fairly straightforward, however, let me know if you need the actual patched file and I'll upload it somewhere. Joe.

Before you do a clean install, try reinstallin IE 6 first. Install the SP3 first, then IE 6. I don't use KernelEx and Revolutions Pack, so thats up to you. Make sure you use the version with the IE 6 files and not 5.

Did you un-register the old one and re-register the new one?

How about maybe you or someone like rloew provide the best fix and I'll add it to the SP. I will also downgrade mlang.dll. I don't use IE @ all, only the core files. Thanks for your input. I think jds has found your outlook bug. Please replace mlang.dll with an older version until I remove it from the SP. Thanks jds

@ togermano's, I was thinking about it a long time ago to update WinME version of the SP too. It almost seems that our Win9X crowd are getting smaller by the day. Once I get 98SESP3 to almost 99.99999999999999 flawless, I'll consider lookng in to the WinME SP.
