I will not add KernelEx and RP9 because they are still in development. Yes, this is true but Maximus-Decim's Cumulative Updates for MDAC is outdated. MDGx has newer packages @ his site thats not included in Maximus-Decim's Cumulative Updates for MDAC. So I will add the newest files as optional as always.

My hours are fluctuating @ work. Hopefully I can get an update out over the weekend. The next update I release, I asking that maybe a couple of people on here might test on a clean install. That would really help me. dencorso and Drugwash, I have read you suggestions and I will work on them before the final build. Its a litte more complicated because RP9/KernelEx patches files. I normally patch files and then add the patched file to the Service Pack.

I have a new update ready. It won't be on mediafire. They want me to install that Bull$h!+ on my computer, and I aint doing it. I shouldn't have to download something in order to upload. What's wrong with people these days. They have something good then screw it up. I need a new reliable host.

I like to thank all you guys who supported me in this endeavor. I could have not done it without all of you guys. I decided not to add the KernelEX option due to lack of feedback. If I add the two options Windows Image Acquisition 1.1 (WIA) Microsoft Data Access Components 2.8 SP1SP3 will be marked as FINAL! Unless you guys discover newer compatible files or MDGx releases new updates it will be FINAL! I'll give you guys some time to come up with suggestions/improvements. I believe adding the two options above would make the pack complete. There will be nothing else to add because all compatible unofficial/official updates are included. Here is a list of the files I didn't add Unofficial Updates SETUPAPI.EXE Windows Image Acquisition 1.1 (WIA) Official Updates DirectX 9 Internet Explorer Microsoft Data Access Components 2.8 SP1 NET Framework Windows Media Player (WMP)

Windows 98 SE doesn't let remove safely

Can this be a solution for this issue here? -
If anyone actually needs MDAC 2.8 SP1, I can add it later. I already have most of the files in place.
-
I don't use MS Office products on Win98, I use them on WinXP. I can still add the core files from MDAC 2.8 SP1 + Unofficial updates.
-
I will not add a host file.

Well my father - in - law just bought a new IPAD. His wife has a IPOD. I'm not sure if this is the way to go far as testing. It worth a shot.

Can someone give me an idea of what an mtp device?

After reading heres my take on everything. The Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) drivers is a part of Windows Image Acquisition (WIA). Microsoft said so themselves. I don't think anyone can run Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) without using Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) at least on Win98. There are 3rd party drivers which I won't be adding to get (PTP) working. Thats because TWAIN and WIA don't mix, wise words from Microsoft. Reason why (WIA) deletes STICPL.CPL because its apart of TWAIN and WIA doesn't use it. I believe you have to use one or the other. If you have TWAIN drivers and then install WIA, its a chance that twain will break.

Updated Thanks New update has them all added now. Not to worry. I won't be adding a host file. If mcv93us wants it, when we have a final build I can try to customize the pack. Here's a list of files and tools I will addMTPISTB.DLL 1.3.0.0 MTPIUSB.DLL 1.6.0.0 MTPLIB.DLL 6.0.5063.0 MTPMON.EXE 1.0.0.3 MTPSMGR.EXE 1.10.0.0 MTPSP.DLL 1.10.0.0 WMDMCMD.EXE 2.0.0.7 WMDMCMD.TXT WMDMDEVS.EXE 5.2.0.1 WPDMTP.INF WPDUSB.SYS 5.2.3810.3924 Thanks, I have renamed your PTP_MTP.INF to MTPPTP.INF.
-
Can you combine Fujifilm + iPod Touch inf files together. After that use WPDUSB.SYS' version 5.2.3810.3924 instead of the Win98 version and see if iPod Touch works with the Win2000 file.

Thanks

I have no idea. I will add WIA soon.

Windows 98 SE with some problems
PROBLEMCHYLD replied to huguia's topic in Windows 9x Member Projects
Its not a good idea installing multiple update packages such as U98SESP3, Autopatcher, WUPG98 etc.... -
Looks like you'll be the first candidate I don't think I'm going to add any tools, just system drivers. I think we should have one inf file for all the drivers, named something like (MTPPTP.INF) combining the two you posted above. After using it as a starting point, we can just add new devices.
-
I'm going to add two new additions to the Service Pack. Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) + Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) They will be combined into one option or maybe not. What's you guys take on it. Now, I'm not able to test these packages. I will create a package anyway. I will only release it to members who have actual devices to test it because I don't. If they cause any problems I will remove them immediately. WPDMTP.INF doesn't have any device names listed. So if you have a device that uses (MTP) + (PTP) please post it. Here is a list of files from (MTP) + (PTP) MTP9X-2K.INF MTPISTB.DLL 1.3.0.0 MTPIUSB.DLL 1.6.0.0 MTPSMGR.EXE 1.10.0.0 MTPSP.DLL 1.10.0.0 WMDMCMD.EXE 2.0.0.6 WMDMCMD.TXT WPDMTP.INF WPDUSB.SYS 5.2.3810.3924 (Works with WDMSTUB.SYS) WPDUSB9X.SYS 1.2.0.0
