  1. Nothing! Thats why its weird because there was no error message, no BSOD. My USB mouse/KB wouldn't detect at all.Logitech is the brand. Here's the other weird thing, all of my usb flash drives worked.
  2. Do you have these problems if you don't install the SP? If you do, then its not the SP. Its a hardware issue/driver.
  3. Sounds like a hardware problem. You say, you are having graphics and wi-fi problems. Do you have a VIA chipset?
  4. After using the winternals version with a SATA drive. BSOD. Anyone has a solution other than using the paragon version.
  5. Windows ME version of Windows Management Instrumentation + Web-Based Enterprise Management works on Win98SE. I wanted to add this version to the SP, but I didn't want people to think it was becoming a replica of 98SE2ME. dencorso, gave some advice about using newer files because of the newer code.
  6. I haven't given up on this yet. I believe we can get this thing working with some patience, testers, devices, and each other. I'm looking into borrowing some devices to test. I'll keep you guys posted.
  7. I had thought about adding it a while back. Once I found the tool reg2inf.exe then I had no use for. The tool converts all reg files to inf format making it easier to install files and reg keys for SP3. Thanks
  8. After testing USBUHCI.SYS 5.1.2600.5512, all seems to work fine until I plug in a USB keyboard/mouse. USB flash drives works ok. No corruption or any problems. It will not be added to the SP, until I test more.
  9. Glad you up and running Its not ideal to mix SP3 with any other packages.
  10. Are you using an English version of Win98? Did you follow instructions on the Main website?
  11. Ok I have added Microsoft Management Console 1.2 to SP 3.4
  12. This version is already included in the SP. Thanks for being aware, but I believe I have all the latest files included. And this is why I said thank you. If I'm not aware of a new file, then I can't check the PETimestamp. Thanks again for your tool. I notice it doesn't handle VXD files on WinXP.
  13. Is it possible to create a driver to support UDF + NTFS + EXFAT with read + write capabilities? One driver does it all solution. Give me some coding books and tips. I can learn if I'm taught. I'll give it a shot because I like to adventure. I'm just so sick and tired of the limitations, hoping someone can do something about it. I don't mind paying for software, but when you tell me, I have to have a certain operating system/hardware to run it, then I'll say f**k you.
  14. Were you using the latest files?AUTOCHK.EXE 5.0.2195.6605 NTDLL.DLL 5.0.2195.7080 NTFS.SYS 5.0.2195.7050 NTOSKRNL.EXE 5.0.2195.7376The other 3 files are all the same if using Win2k. I'm not sure about the WinXP or 2k3 Server.
  15. TCPIP.SYS 4.90.3000.0 TCPIP.SYS 4.90.3004.0 Are missing the same 20 functions checked by wdmcheck. TCPIP6.SYS 5.0.2195.1 is only missing 7 functions.
  16. POWERCFG.CPL 4.90.3000.0 has a newer timestamp than the one included in the SP. I use 98 lite to remove a lot of stuff from my system, but when I install 98SE2ME, it installs a lot of it back. I was wondering if its not too much trouble, can you add file replacing only if the file exist. I use this approach for most files in SP3.
  17. Actually the WinME files does work, as they are of part of 98SE2ME. Those drivers works with other sound cards, just not with the Crystal SC.
  18. I just checked the dell website for drivers, and there is no official driver for Win98 for your computer. You might have to track down an old version or replace the card with a compatible one.
  19. Is there any reason why BWC/WB doesn't work together and create one unique Kernel?
  20. Do you have all of the latest Microsoft updates? Some computer specs would be nice.
  21. I know BWC/WB kernels add missing functions. You probably should use the original last Kernel version for Win2K. Switching back and forth between the 2 Ks is not a good idea. They both do GREAT work. Working on multiple packages only takes time from priority packages. Just some advice, but you can take it with a grain of salt. Keep the good work. You could always start out USP 5.2 with all official M$ files and then start to add Unofficial files in USP 5.3 etc......
  22. I have USBUHCI.SYS 5.1.2600.5512 running on my system with no problem. USBUHCI.SYS replaces UHCD.SYS 4.90.3000.0
  23. It doesn't matter to me. If the file is needed I can add it, if not then people will have to manually add/replace it. If I were to add it, I would treat it like most files inside the SP. It would only install if a older version of the file is already present on your system.
  24. If you install SP 3.3, you don't need to install NUSB 3.6. All you have to do is follow the USB 2.0 notice which lists the instructions.
