  1. sounds to me like the video display driver is missing... and if not... it is the Monitor driver that is probably set to "Default Monitor"... check that out....
  2. Sorry guys... I as well have been consumed by my current work situation.... and have rarely had the time to even check my email... ~Dave
  3. I 2nd this motion... it would be great to have a tool that would create custom autopatchers or "service packs"
  4. I am wanting to use the IR port on my laptop to control my TV among other things. Does anyone know of any software that would allow me to do something like this? I have searched google, but was unable to find anything.... Thanks, Dave
  5. ... also OEM (aka "For system builders")... Microsoft assumes that you know what you are doing, so if you call them for support they will try to charge you... But really people... how many time have YOU called Microsoft for a problem?!?!? None! They dont know anything anyways. However, there is no difference in the software or features them self. So, save yourself some money and get OEM
  6. So.... What you guys think?
  7. LOL, thanks for the quick reply.... must of posted while I was uploading Here they are: Domain Blocklist.inf (5,684,252b): (MD5 Hash: 28CFD6EDB6662266CF27222D1885FB49) http://www.mytempdir.com/1188881 Domain Blocklist.reg (8,316,241b): (MD5 Hash: F02F7F3DA2A3A1FBF28786E31C231A55) http://www.mytempdir.com/1188882 HOSTS File (1,758,235b): (MD5 Hash: 1A882644C2E278BA058059EFA76EDBEA) http://www.mytempdir.com/1188870 Enjoy! ~Dave
  8. This is why I asked where ya'll wanted the new files uploaded to...... apparently nobody want them, cause they never replied to me......
  9. ...also in BIOS check the power voltages, if they are jumping all over the place... It could be sending spikes of power to the CPU, making the motherboard think that the CPU is trying to be overclocked. If this is the case, you need to replace you Power Supply. But, Test the above listed first. ~Dave
  10. Ooh... I think he might perhaps be talking about me! Good job man! Keep up the good work ~Dave
  11. Thanks for all the responses. Yes, basically I only have a couple ppl in my shop, and I came in one day and found it infested with virii and adult material on the system... as well as customer data backups were deleted. I am almost positive of who it is, but hopefully some of this software will help me catch the bandit red-handed... then I have a valid reason to let him go... and not be able to collect unemployment.
  12. Hi all, I have a unusual request. I am having a problem with one of my employees tampering with work PCs, but I can not crack down on him unless I have proof. So, do any of you know of a good Silent PC monitoring or key logger software ... so that I can catch him red-handed?! Thanks in advance.
  13. Unless you are running these on an old AMD K6-2 processor... then YES. I am supprised u haven't fried the thing yet. If it is a 300W TruePower or PurePower... then you might stand a chance. but if you have a newer processor.. like an Intel P4 or AMD XP chip or above... your system is underpowered
  14. I think I have the blocklists updated... but I need some testers to see if anything needs to be added or removed from my new lists. Where would you all like me to upload the to so everyone can get them? ~Dave
  15. Well my good man, you are in luck..... there is no such thing as a 939 slot motherboard! ...you mean Socket 939! ...and I always use ASUS
  16. discountpc ---> twig123 Thanks, Dave
  17. LOL, I love ppl that just dont get it.... make my life a better place
  18. @BoardBabe - Sorry to hear that you aren't able to help with this project anymore However, I have just put together a new Domain_Blocklist database. I taken your original 7509 domains, and have added 52,618 additional domains... bringing the total to a whopping 60,127!!! I have currently compiled it in 3 different formats (REG, INF & HOSTS File) However, if the HOSTS file is to be used "DNS Client" service needs to be Stopped, otherwise it can dramaticly slow down displaying of pages. I have a couple more things I have to do before I release it... but it will be done soon!
  19. @nuhi YAY! v1.3RC ... and I can now use my normal DIR structures again thank you very much! ~Dave
  20. Exactly what I was going for Thanks for looking into this for me. ~Dave
  21. I just downloaded the latest version of nLite (v1.3 Beta) and when I try to add Hotfixes from the below listed DIR I get an error message that says: "Detected Uncompatible Path" "Please be sure the files are located in an ASCII named folder." E:\Twig06\~Source~\Addins\2006-09-20 I have always been able to use this path structure with the previous versions of nLite... even if the "~'s" and "-'s" are not ASCII. Why is this just now becoming an issue? ...because I would really prefer not to have to change my DIR naming schemes.... ~Dave
  22. wow, it evaluated my quantum physics theorems with amazing accuracy!!!
  23. Removed
  24. Isn't CMDOW only for batch files? because you have to add a line of code to the batch for it to hide, right? or am I just stressin from another long day syndrome?...from what I have seen this program uses an exe that is coded from C++
  25. I hear ya there! with 150 systems to repair a month... pre-activation saves my life
