Large Icon View in Classic Control Panel..How?
twig123 replied to jbarnes007's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
try this! http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?s=&...st&p=522533 -
OMFG, I've Found A Miracle Cure!!! Set all of the settings that you want (ie: Desktop Icon Arrangement & Control Panel View) Then... Copy The NTUSER.DAT file (its a hidden file) to the "Default User" (again a hidden folder) under "Documents and Settings" to replace the existing file. Every time a new user is created, it will still have the same Icon Arrangement as well as Control Panel view!!! However, I have not tested this in an unattended windows install situation yet. Test it and let me know!

twig123 replied to Bezalel's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003

Multi Manufacturer Pre-Activation
twig123 replied to Bezalel's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Question: So, if I understand correctly... I can use the key from: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechn...y/oempreac.mspx on any Royalty OEM XP Pro system along side with the respective OEMBIOS files to preserve pre-activation... Is there a generic key for Home Ed. as well? or will the same key work for Home? -

ERR | BSOD: nv4_mini.sys w/ nVidia GPU + nVidia nForce 4
twig123 replied to Floppy's topic in The General Stuff
^^... Ditto Any test results? Right now I am running without the Display driver pack (would love full driver support) if someone gets to this before me, let me know the results. -
how were you able to reinstall WMP10? when I try to reinstall it says that I already have a newer version, then the install stops.
-
Hey guys, I am using RyanVM's update packs, WMP addon (the release before this months from the 15th - 2.05 i think). I have MusicMatch Jukebox as well as some songs that I backed up before i formatted. When I try to play the music files in MusicMatch I get "Error: c00d2711, c00d2711" (apparently something about DRM. Same thing in WMP, but it just tells me that WMP is not installed correctly, and to reinstall. How can I remidy this? I have seen some other post about similar issues, but was unable to find a resolution. Please, any input is appreciated.

Right now my unattended CD is setup to have my files & folders show up in 'Detail View'. I am wondering what I need to change to make ONLY the Control Panel show up in 'Icon View'. Thanks In Advance

Automatically create multi-boot folders and files
twig123 replied to geitonaki's topic in Multi-Boot CD/DVDs
First of all I'd like to say 'Great Job!' with the coding for this! I also wanted to bring up that I have been having some issues trying to get this to work with BTS's Driver Packs. When I select my boot source after Text setup the system reboots & tries to load BTS files, but fails because it can't find the \OEM\BIN folder (not $OEM$). If I copy the entire OEM folder to the root of the AIO disk it works with no issues. The only drawback is that I am doing an AIO with each containing different files from BTS packs. (ex: 1 w/ LAN, 1 w/LAN, SATA and so on). Ex. DIR Structure: ***non-working*** $OEM$ Setup -English ----WINXP --------Original ------------I386 ------------OEM ***Working*** (moved OEM to root) $OEM$ Setup OEM -English ----WINXP --------Original ------------I386 ------------OEM can anyone help me to make my AIO point eich to their respective OEM folder, instead of only looking for OEM in the root of the drive? Thanks -
when the new version is planned publicly? dziubek This weekend, if the bugs-god is happy. Sweet! ... Lemme know if you need me to steal more code from the future lol

PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_D104&SUBSYS_D1041106&REV_00\3&61AAA01&0&85 : Network Controller I was unable to find the above Network driver in BTS's LAN Pack, nor was I able to find a compatible match online or the manufacturers site. Maybe someone can help me find a working driver for this HWID, or could be added to the pack in the future. Many Fruitless hours of just that, on top of that can't understand half of them because our lovely country loves to outsource to India.... Give a brotha a hand.... ....Now that (Sony) is one I didn't think about... I don't have those files
-
Well, I actually do own both an Emachine & Gateway... among many custom built systems.... but the first thing that I do is format the system to take all of the 'Software Packs' (aka crap) off of the system, and doing so removes the pre-activation files that I am looking for. So, I would be very greatfull if someone could help me get those pre-activation files. 2nd of all, the pre-activation files only make sure that it is a system of the same brand, usually by the BIOS/mainboard. so, the pre-activation files are universal between ALL the same branded system that originally came with XP Home & Pro, However the files are different between Home and Pro. See here:http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=63258# Bezalel quoted in post#7, that he was working on such a thing... but that was back in 2005, and the post seems dead to me. So, I was just wondering if anyone had ideas on how to do it. Otherwise I can do seperate CD's once I get the pre-activation files. Thanks in advance

Is 'DOTNETFX' folder on XPCD needed?
twig123 replied to twig123's topic in Unattended Windows 2000/XP/2003
Thanks, I didn't think that it was. ...And I have been to that link b4, but it didn't refer to 'DOTNETFX' so I figured I ask to be sure. Thanks Again
