You just abort the install before the last step and You will find the .msi in Your ?:\windows\downloaded installation map. Good luck. / SwedenXP But if it works the other way also it´s perfect - but this is the way I found it on this forum

This works for me And it´s the sam ver. as You have. start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Diskeeper\Diskeeper.msi /qn / SwedenXP

No, non of the above mentioned. Thought that shutdown was an internal windows command / SwedenXP

At the end of my main_batch.cmd I want to make a reboot - and I have tried this: ECHO Restarting the system in 2 minute... shutdown -r -f -t 60 -c "Windows XP will now restart in 1 minutes" ECHO. But it does not reboot... and I don´t know why... Tips please. / SwedenXP

Have some regkeys to delete that are in different RUN sections of the registry - have tried - but failed... Ideas please. These are the keys; HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\ It´s a REG_SZ and the value is NeroCheck And the data is "C:\WINDOWS\system32\NeroCheck.exe" The next is; HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\ It´s a REG_SZ and the value is msnmsgr And the data is "C:\Program\MSN Messenger\msnmsgr.exe" /background" Help is appreciated / SwedenXP

Does anyone silent install for POW! by AnalogX. This is a small, well working pop-up killer. Here is anotherone that I haven´t found - yet silent install for Easy CD-DA Extractor 6.1 by Poikosoft, a good ripper, converter tool. Thanx in advance / SwedenXP

Probably, hopefully. Thanx AaronXP I will try it out tomorrow. Is this basicly the same as when the install is fully integrated on the XP cd - besides that this install is on an own cd/hdd with a pointer to it and a "starter"? / SwedenXP

Hello gentlemen Has anyone done the Advanced version of Office XP Unattended - without putting it on the WinXP cd? I am intersted in doing the installation - but i want to put it on another auto-run cd - or on a different harddrive. So if You have any good tips or just want to be positive/nice - let me hear from You / SwedenXP

I believe You. But just to see that I´m not totally crazy I did a "manual" install of XP and there, just before XP is acutally started You get to add Your users. If You only add one - this one will become the only user and also have admin rights. And you can name it anything You want... /

I tried that solution and ended up with; - One Administrator account with admin rights - My own account, without admin rights Good knows what whent wrong? / SwedenXP

I must say thanx for putting up with these sometimes stupid questions of mine My main trouble (at the moment) is as follows; 1. During installation I would like to create only one account. 2. I would like to name this account anything I like (not administrator). 3. This account should have admin/full rights. On the bright side - I have to say that this is a very creative forum! I have problems giving names to accounts during my unattended setup I have studied Your different examples of winnt.sif files - but I still end up with the wrong name... Try using the latest version of WMware workstation instead of Virtual PC. I find it easier and faster. / SwedenXP

An idea - and a question If i look in my controlpanel - ad/remove programs I have a bunch of Hotfixes, Hotfix packs and some update all Q-marked or KB-marked + the windows media update marked wm828026. Is it enough to install these updates and fixes - or do I need to install them all? Thanx in advance / SwedenXP ps. it was reeally easy to download them all through MS update
