Is there a max number of tweaks that one can apply - and after this number the tweaks won´t stick? I have som ancient memory of this limitation - and that it is possible to change the limit... Ideas please / SwedenXP more than ever...

Alanoll - on 2 places... In my case this worked just fine upto SP2 - after that... Cartooninte - of course! The problems are as follows - On my start menue, I loose the "show small icons" and "hide the toolbar" options. And the quicklaunch bar has to be pulled out. This happends on every reboot, so my idea is that these tweaks has not been added to the default profile or my admin profile (which is the only profile). The commands.com, setuser.reg, quicklaunch.reg, regtweaks.reg are the same as before SP2. And I will include my services.reg... Suggestions are appreciated. / SwedenXP

In which order should I have my commands in "cmdlines.txt"? Mine looks like this - and I have problems with the menu and the quicklaunch bar. It worked just fine before i added XP SP2 - then it all went to h*ll... [COMMANDS] "REGEDIT /S .\REGTWEAKS.REG" "REGEDIT /S .\QUICKLAUNCH.REG" "REGEDIT /S .\SERVICES.REG" ".\COMMANDS.CMD" "REGEDIT /S .\SETUSER.REG" Thanx in advance / SwedenXP (It takes all three to express what I feel...)

I find them where I wrote... And thats the point. If I find them, "auto-generated", why do I have to generete them myself and add them to my svcpack.inf under [ProductCatalogsToInstall]? As mentioned in the original first post and some answers... / SwedenXP, still

Yeah, I can acccept that. But the .cat file seems to be generated anyway into a catalog ie. C:\WINDOWS\$hf_mig$\KB834707\update. In there I find the KB834707.CAT. And so on for every update I have done via my svcpack.inf / SwedenXP slightly

Gentlemen - what good does the .cat entry under [ProductCatalogsToInstall] do? I get my unattended XPProSP2 + all updates to work anyway... Suggestions please. / SwedenXP B)

3 C:\ drives? Is that equivalent of a split personality??? (sorry for the joke) My suggestions is that You; Keep Windows om C:\Windows Keep Your programs on C:\Programs And if You want Your Documents and Setting on a seperat drive do so (ie D:\Documents and Settings). Good luck / SwedenXP B)

The question is; Is the performance of a XP Pro SP2 worse than XP Pro SP1 + all updates? The cleaning out of 100´s of MB sounds good, but I have no HD space problems... / SwedenXP

After slipstreaming SP2 into my original XP Pro cd and adding the same programs and drivers as I added to my "old unattended cd" I formatted and installed - everything worked just great But the machine really feels slower now Any suggestions ladies and gentlemen? I hope this is the right place to ask this question... I usually attend the "Unattended Windows" forum - and I like it! After installing my Unattended WinXPPROSP2+updates cd I have had trouble with my downloadmanager (Download Accelerator Plus - DAP) and I would like a suggestion for another, new, better, fully functional downloadmanager. So please, ladies and gentlemen give this request Your best shot Thanx in advance / SwedenXP

It´s much easier to compress your favorites into an .exe file with winrar and run it from main_batch.cmd lite this; At least, that is what I do, and it works for me. An alternative program that works very well for favorites, mailaccounts and mailfolders is Outlook Express Backup Genie - tried it and I like it. / SwedenXP
