@JorgeA no, all hacks still work. MS only doesn't allow the CLient editions to skip Metro. The Sever (without Desktop Experience role) skips Metro. If you install Desktop Experience role you have a GPO to also skip Metro. And mS doesn't allow this on Client Editions. There is a function in 2 DLLs which first check if the Windows is a server and only if the Windows is a server the GPO is used.

btw, always install C++ 2005 Runtime first. If there are pending update, the setup fails. So install C++ first and next the Win7 updates. Maybe this information helps somebody.
