This: http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/assistan...1363091033.aspx It also contains all updates of office and lets administrators a chance to install Office silently this looks like you have a normal CD. Is your Windows Installer ok? What version do you have installed (3.1 v2? )
I solve this issue. The update Hotfix KB916089 Version 5 ( http://support.microsoft.com/kb/916089/en-us ) (Msi.dll 3.1.4000.2805) solve the issue. I don't have 100% cpuusage and I still have a GUI when installing programs through a msi-file. The GUI wasn't shown while installing, so that programs which have 2 or more cds fails to install, when I installed other patches who had a never msi.dll than MSI 3.1V2. I'm so happy
Nope and I won't, I'll wait for the final release. I'm sick and tired of that f..... betas.. I thinks you didn't understand what a preRelease is You should detect errors and send them to MS
No, this version isn't worse than RC1. It is the fastet version and this version is very stable and may bugs from RC1 are fixed. The only thing whats bad is, that I have to use the cdrom.sys from Build 5600 get a virtual dvd-drive to work (MagicDisc/D-Tools)
