  2. yes. I created an extra topic for Windows 8: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=158252 But in Win8 you should use the HybridBoot which is very fast: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=152937

  5. 3 = Ivy Bridge (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivy_Bridge_%28microarchitecture%29) 4 = Haswell (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haswell_%28microarchitecture%29)
  6. @Ninjah Tigah Do you get any error message while running xperf -d DPC_Interrupt.etl?
  7. thanks for the feedback. Enjoy your stable Win7 now
  8. run a the xperf commadns and give me the ETL file. But stop LatencyMon before running xperf!
  9. use psexcec (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb897553.aspx) to run reg.exe as system to add the data
  10. no. why do you think this?
  11. no, you don't understand how Windows works and ask a useless question.
  12. [OT] you should install the VS2013 Update 2 to be fully up2date [/OT]
  13. I need the large generated ETL and not a xml file. Use this command please: xbootmgr -trace shutdown -noPrepReboot -traceFlags BASE+LATENCY+DISPATCHER+FILE_IO+FILENAME -stackwalk profile+CSwitch+ReadyThread -resultPath C:\TEMP Zip the file and upload it (cloud service) and post (send me) a link.
  14. copy the folder C:\Windows\logs\CBS to the dsktop, zip the folder and upload the zip.
  15. ask in the support forum: http://www.computerbase.de/forum/showthread.php?t=1070494
  16. capture a xperf trace of the CPU usage: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/140264-how-to-get-the-cause-of-high-cpu-usage-caused-by-apps/
  17. to disable it temporary, stop the scheduled task of Glass8
  18. what's the point? By clearing the standby (Superfetch catch) you slowdown the Windows if you don't have a fast SSD. Windows works fine, you simply have no knowledge how Windows works. Buy and read this book: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963901.aspx (2nd Part includes Memory Management)
  19. please try the tool NoteBook FanControl (NBFC) to increase the fan speed: https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=6c34bd33ac55ce36&id=6C34BD33AC55CE36!1060&action=Share
  20. go to device manager and select update driver for the SATA controller and select the Microsoft driver here.
  21. try to load the default BIOS setting and use Speedfan to increase the fan speed.
  22. prePendTime is a driver issue. Try the Microsoft AHCI driver and not the Intel one.
  23. Welcome and enjoy msfn.org
