  1. The Beta2 is free for all Editions. You can also get the Prof, Premium oder Ultimate Edition of Visual Studio 2010 for free to test and play with it. But I don't have to time to deal with it. And what I also don't like is the WPF Editor, this looks so ugly
  2. why do you want to shrink the old PDC08 build?
  3. start /wait dotnetfx.exe /Q /C:"install.exe /q" this should work, but I haven't tried it. start /wait NetFx20SP2_x86.exe /q Vista already includes .net 2.0 and includes .net Sp2 when you install Vista Sp2.
  4. could you please post the commands you have used and what error messages do you get?
  5. Have you tried WPI ( http://www.msfn.org/board/windows-post-ins...rd-wpi-f93.html )?
  6. yes, I mean the rollup for Windows 2000Sp4. This is needed to install .net 2 Sp1 and Sp2. .net 1.1 is not needed. Only install it if an application (like Delphi 8,2005 or 2006) needs it to run. yes, this is possible: for %%i in (NDP20SP2*.exe) do %%i /passive /norestart copy this into a new text file, rename it to installNetFx2Sp2Updates.cmd, put all NDP20SP2* Updates into the same folder and run the script. this is ok
  7. .net 2.0 Sp2 works fine under Windows 2000 if you install the UpdateRollup for Windows 2000. the .net 2.0 sp2 brings several fixes for .net, so it is recommend that you install it.
  8. windows installer 4.5 is included, but not the VC++ Redist
  9. I've already seen this last week This is definitely too much meat for me
  10. could you create dumps of the crashes and post them here, so that people like cluberti can took a look at them.
  11. no workaround. This is a known bug. To create a 32Bit Windows 7 you have to use a 32Bit Windows 7.
  12. are you using it on a 64Bit Windows 7 to generate a catalog for a 32Bit Windows 7?
  13. don't do this. Why the hell do you want to delete and modify files in Windows folder? Please don't don this!
  14. it works for all ISOs. I've tried it with a Technet Windows 7 ISO
  15. You could use DISM.exe /online /Add-Package:C:\Updates, this should install all updates found in the folder (I haven't tried it, maybe you can try it and post if it works).
  16. Hi, I can't see a picture. Put them on picture hosting services and post the links here.
  17. Bug Check 0xC000021A: STATUS_SYSTEM_PROCESS_TERMINATED Could you create a dump and share it, so that cluberti can look at it.
  18. you can expand the GRACE period, not the TRIAL, because there is NO trial except the special 90days Trial of Windows 7 Enterprise. With Windows 7, MS added a timebased activation for Trial purpose.
  19. type services.msc in the startmenu search and look if the Windows Update service is running and set to automatic
  20. there is NO 120 days Trial. It has a 30 day time where you can ACTIVATE it. If you want a trial, use the 90 days Trial of the Windows 7 Enterprise Edition.
  21. not for me I stay at Vista. it rocks and is perfectly stable (stability index is 10) and Windows 7 is horrible right now. The stability index is about 1,25, I have app crashes all the time, it is not faster compared to Vista, I'll get a lot of features as updates (DX11, Ribbon, BITS4, PowerShell2) so I don't need to upgrade. He hype about Windows is just 2 words "missing knowledge".
  22. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?s=&amp...st&p=888807 or here: http://www.msfn.org/board/must-read-slipst...p1-t134783.html
  23. have you tried the RTM version? You can download a 90day Enterprise Trial and install it. Maybe this is an issue with the RC and it is fixed with the RTM bits.
  24. Could you make new traces and upload them, so that cluberti can look at it? But I can't get the traces (slow internet at home), so I don't know why such a delay happens. Do you use File- and Printer Sharing? If not, disable the service Server and look your PC starts faster.
  25. NEVER remove WinSxS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This will break Updates and Add/remove Features.
