  1. the point is that the component which is required for installing updates, servicepacks and changing features has a limitation which doesn't allow you the slipstream ServicePacks. I've used vLite to integrate the Sp1 into a RTM DVd and next Win Integrator to sliptream Sp2 into the image and this damages the Image. When you install the slipstreamed Image it will fail reboot after the OOBE phase and will fail to boot after this reboot. That's why MS disabled sliptreaming of servicepacks in NT6.x (Vista, Win7)
  2. for unattended creation there is an official MS tool, called Windows Automated Installation Kit.
  3. Hi, could you please run ProcessMonitor in background and trace the actions of vLite and post the log?
  4. I found this in the new Win7 AIK Docs:
  5. as shown in the link, WDMM1.1 is not always better. Sometime WDDM1.0 is better. If you really need Windows 7 use the 1.0 driver and retest it if new drivers are being released.
  6. WDDM1.1 has performance issues with GDI: http://www.pcpro.co.uk/blogs/2009/05/07/wi...-big-trade-off/ Try a WDDM1.0 driver!
  7. in which configuration pass do you use it? The WAIK for Win7 is now out, check the docs: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en
  8. there is no Catastrophic Bug in Windows 7's chkdsk. The memory usage is a bit high. Memory leaks often occurs in several componnets and will be fixed with hotfixes (LDR updates).
  9. yeah, Win7 WAIK RTM is out: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...;DisplayLang=en
  10. what have you used in Vista and what did you tried with Win7?
  11. it is slower because of the new WIM driver from Windows 7. This driver is much slower when commiting and unmounting the install.wim
  12. within vLite you have an option to protect files. Type in the files you want to protect

  14. check the memory remapping feature inside your BIOS. What is selected? Also start msconfig and look under Boot->Advanced if the RAM is truncated to 2GB.
  15. Are you using vLite on a x86 Windows to slipstream Sp1 into a x64 Vista? This won't work with the way vLite works.
  16. Read it here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/17471845/FireGei...ed-Vista-Guide2
  17. Do you have a friend who has a MSDN or Technet subscription? he can download the Sp2 integrated ISOs
  18. he will look at the issue, but no timeline for a new release. You have to wait, sorry.
  19. Also check this for more help: http://blogs.msdn.com/ntdebugging/archive/...check-0xf4.aspx
  20. NO. You need a clean MS DVD as source for Sp2 slipstreaming, because of some limitation from the Windows NT6.x (Vista/Win7) components which handle the updates/servicepacks and the (un)installation of features.
  21. no, not possible! First vLite is not able to slipstream Sp2 and even it it would be able to do this, it will damage your DVD. You can only slipstream Sp2 into a original MSFT DVD with Sp1 integrated.
  22. I have no idea. I didn't talk to him the last days.
  23. no, I've also tried it with a x64 Vista. Maybe Stefan removed the Vista Sp2 support in alpha 3.
  24. hmm, I've tried it with on of the first versions of the Integrator and it works fine.
  25. have you deleted the WIM files you copied into the folder from vLite?
