Card reader has been known to cause this with me before. The eject feature I will look into. The error 70 is a well known problem many of us encounter from time to time. You do know that WPI is NOT free for buisness or corporate use right?

Heres the goal: I have an excel database of over 9,000 karaoke songs. We are setting up 3 PC kiosks with steady state. What I want is a graphical search engine type program that will bring up the line(s) with that matching entry when a user enters the text. Notes: DRUNKS will be trying to use this! So I need it to be a simple and fool-proof as possible. Does anyone have any suggestions? Price is a consideration also.

Officially the price is only 90 bucks from MS. That is actually NOT bad at all. The only drawback is you don't get a physical copy of the installation media.

OK lemme help you out: You are making a NEW XP disk right? Don't worry about the already running system, think about the reformatted system. Without SP3 you are runnin serious security risks as the only made fixes for sp2 up untill over a year ago. The disk cost of SP3 + Integrated hotfixes is rather small compared to sp2 + all fixes installed POST installation. I dunno how much space you have total on your drive but a moderatly nLited installation of SP3 + Hotfixes to date will take up less than a gig of space for the bare installation.

Quite the contrary SP2 would be the one that MIGHT slow down your system as they added some extra windows features in it. If it is speed you are worried about have you tried windows 2000? Personally I loved EVERY sp for winxp and think they ALL increased speed and stability.
