ading custom boot screen to iso ? [help please]
Kelsenellenelvian replied to Breez's topic in LogonUI & Boot Screens
Using OEM folders place your custom boot in the system32 folder and name it "OEMKrnl.exe" Make a .cmd file with the following contents: bootcfg /RAW /A /Kernel=OEMKrnl.exe /ID 1 bootcfg /Timeout 0 And call that via cmdlines.txt! -
Hope you get it solved.

After a s***load of testing I have come to the conclusion slipstreaming in Win7 will fail no matter what the method. I would run a vm of your base XP disk and make your slipsreamed source within it. Then keep a couple of copies of that source around.

Problems to launch WPI
Kelsenellenelvian replied to nanitoboy's topic in Windows Post-Install Wizard (WPI)
Tips: Check disk structure. WPI, i386 and $oem$ must all be on the same level! At the disk root. cmdlines.txt and runwpi.exe or runwpi.inf must be in the oem folder. Make sure wpi.exe is at path %root%\wpi\wpi.exe if it still doesn't run after install run it manually and post the resulting log file here. (can be found on your sys drive) What else are you adding to\removing from your disk? (attach your last_session file here please) -

Most direct SP3 manual guide: http://www.howtohaven.com/system/slipstream-xp-service-pack-3.shtml Meat of it? 6.Slipstream the Service Pack From the command prompt window, which will be a black window with a blinking cursor, type the following, followed by the ENTER key. C:\XPSP3.EXE /integrate:C:\XPSETUP Note that there is only one space character -- between the "C:\XPSP3" and the rest of the line. If you did not name the service pack "XPSP3.exe" and place it at the top level of C: as I described earlier, you'll have to modify the command line accordingly. The process will take some time to complete, so take a coffee break if you wish.
