I really doubt you can successfully do this for several reasons: You would need to know the uninstall + switch string for ALL av\malware apps Doing any number of them WITHOUT a reboot will likely frag your system as they all try to delete + remove common files. Even doing all of the above your install of 360 is not going to be fully successful as all of the flagged files the OTHER programs need deleted during a reboot can (And likely will) f'up 360.

I am all for customization but I must ask: Why customize\brand something your are at worst or best going to see for a couple of minutes a handful of times a year?

It should be safe to use pkgmgr.exe, Windows 7 SP1 works fine with dism too. I'm just not sure if SP2 will install fine afterwards, but if that's a problem I'll try to fix it. I'd like to know what vlite does, but the creator doesn't reply my mail... I am sorry but Nuhi (The creator) will NOT reply to his email or messages. He dissappeared a couple of years ago and has not been seen since.

If I may be so humble as to suggest this here: http://www.freewaregeeks.com/?page=detail&get_id=228&category=18 Jasc made animation shop 3.1.1 freeware BEFORE they became corel (Or when I am not too sure) At 10-ish megs it is rather small but has suited me VERY well in all of my gif endevours. Please give it a try.

It's not so much as to whether you are legal to use it , it is so much as to the ORIGIN of it. It is being distributed from a non-official source. (Thus allowing any jack-anape to procure and use it, Even if they do not own Windows) Now if you were to BUILD it yourself from your own disks you legally bought and own. (Like ubcd4win helps you do) THEN it would be OK.

While you CAN do most nlite-ing operations in Win7 Be forwarned that some things (Like slipstreaming an SP) WILL cause installation failures! OH and JUST to entertain you: Make sure and select the "Bootable ISO" section on the tasks screen and then this:

Yeah but that is assuming you have a straight length of cable... ANY slight bend and your going to get a clog. (My cables have ALL sorts of bends, twists and loops in them.)

That ones simple: ASCII = 5 characters UNICODE = 7 characters With that simple math ASCII is and will always be faster and (much easier on the fingers in the long run) than UNICODE... Also what happens when and if binary gets pased 0-1, 2-3 and gets up to the rough and jagged numbers of 4 and 7???

I only mentioned it because the title of the thread says it is for XP, This is the nLite forum (which only supports NT based OS's up to 2k3) and because taking a thread off topic (even slightly) makes things harder to find for others when they have issues. A new thread dealing specifically with the problem and OS and a nice pm to Fernando would be a much better solution and easier for others when the search in the future. BUT!
