  1. HOLY S**T!!! I want one!
  2. Remove some stuff???
  3. for /f "delims=: tokens=1" %%i in ("%~dp0") do set drive=%%i: set wpipath=%drive%\wpi SET KEY=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx REG ADD %KEY%\WPI /V 1 /D "%wpipath%\WPI.hta" /f Here is the current code run_wpi.exe uses I have changed nothing in it since i released it. I have yet to encounter this error, but you are not the only one to report it.
  4. HotCatCleanup Yup you deleted them. Next time don't do that and you won't get that annoying popup.
  5. Nope there isn't a tutorial. Sorry Most people just look in the theme folder and change the pics and icons to what they want, as for more advanced than that all I can tell you is the key is WPI.htm in the theme file that is where all of the placements are...
  6. Actually I don't know where it would say it in the session file right off the top of my head. Just attach your last session file and I will look and see.
  7. You deleted or selected for nlite to delete all .cat files from the svcpack didn't you?
  8. Its not the laptop it is the mis-match between serial and media.
  9. Yeah it's working fine for me now too.
  10. SO your saying "I can install, but it will not activate"? Then call MS and tell them you have bought a legit media and was given a non-legit key with it...
  11. If you "Bought" a copy of windows Vista then it will not tell you the serial is invalid unless you are selecting the wrong version during the intitial setup section. You also wasted your money Vista is way more expensive than XP Pro. The only way to get rid of MCE is to buy XP Pro and install it. What programs can't you run? Like the others have said MCE IS XP Pro just with a couple of extra features. Failing anything else use nLite and delete the MCE components from your disk. There a different versions of Pro also Retail, Oem and VLK you are mixing keys and media up...
  12. It's not an error it is a feature! You have to have a previous version of Windows CD to install an "Upgrade" version. It is there to prevent people from buying the cheaper version without showing proof of ownership of a previous versiion.
  13. The quick edit feature seems to be broken after the recent downtime... Works fine here. xper
  14. read you must. Sticky section answer has. Please try to be a little clearer in your posts.
  15. You put in a floppy disk and select format, then choose make a startup disk or boot disk whatever it says. and then add those 3 files to it. Nevermind I finally looked at those files and I know see that it is made to be flashed from within a windows enviroment... As a last option before you start looking for a new mobo get memtest 86+ and run it from CD. Also reconfigure your system so that it has only one cd drive and one harddrive. (You can add the rest back in if the install goes.), but yeah you are definatly having a hardware issue.
  16. http://download.aopen.com.tw/Default.aspx Try and update the bios, other than that I have no clue what else todo...
  17. Do you know the make\model of your mobo?
  18. From Ryanvm's forums: An addon to fix the 888111 problem! integrate this on your SP3 source.
  19. HAHAHHAH I'm kinda bad I have one one my XP disk, One one my hardrive (that one is constantly updated think of it as my source) and yet another on my pocket drive just for tools and those hafta have apps when servicing\updating other peoples pc's.
  20. ok then you know you have 2 ide plugs on your mobo simply switch the wires. (So the harddrives are on the other one and the cd\dvd drives are on the other)
  21. Now it could be a mobo or irq issue. Are you experienced enogh to open your tower and switch the ide cables so the drive is on the other ide channel?
  22. PERFECT!!! It looks like you have an SP0 (Or gold, vanilla source) Now take that and place in in a folder called XP at the root of any drive. Extract the attached files and place them in your XP folder. Next to the i386 folder. Run nLite point it to XP and make iso. Burn that to a CD and set aside for when SP3 is released! Now run nLite again and slipstream SP2 and nlite to your little hearts desire.

  24. start /wait "%systemdrive%\install\dvdshrink\dvdshrink.exe /VERYSILENT" Yup looks good to me. A little excessive but good none the less!
