1. Hey, I'm using pskill to end explorer - it works fine. Thanks. laze.
2. Hey, This refreshes the desktop, but it doesn't refresh the taskbar. I'm adding additional items to quick-launch and they only show once you've logged out and logged back in again. Ending a restarting explorer.exe works, your code doesn't. Thanks for your suggestion though. laze.
3. Hey, Can you explain the above code in a little more detail? What settings are you in danger of losing when you kill explorer.exe and how does the above code remedy this problem? Should you kill explorer.exe and then run the above code in a *.vbs file or vice versus? laze.

RunOnceEx

Possibly MAdkins but I have no plans to rebuild my installation in the near future so will not be testing it anytime soon. When Ryan releases his latest pack I will test it and report back. laze.
5. Hey, Use boooggy's add-on and RyanVM's Integrator - no issues here. laze.
6. Hey, My guide includes two hotfixes: KB929969 KB928090 KB917425 was removed from my guide on the 20/02/07. You can view my guide here. laze.
7. Hey rick, Sure I'll add links to the hotfixes, I think my current guide is incredibly user-friendly, but I'll see if I can make it stupid-proof. laze :-p
8. Hey, If you'd prefer to integrate IE7, you can use my guide here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=91884 laze :-)

RunOnceEx

Hey, Can someone please provide information on what exactly has been fixed regarding the integration of KB928090? laze.
10. Hey, I should have posted this sooner, apologies for not doing so. I received this response after I pm'd Board Babe regarding the Domain Blocklist. laze. Ps. When you say there's 23,000 entries are you suggesting your Domain Blocklist contains as many as 16,000 more than Board Babes?
11. Hey, Would you be entirely against integrating KB905474? I know it's not a solution, more of a workaround and while I'm not an avid user of nLite, I do use it to integrate the odd hotfix including KB905474 and it does a good job. laze.
12. Hey, I'm not familiar with this setting: "Show icons instead of tiles" Perhaps it's just the terminology you're using, how exactly does this setting impact the Windows interface visually? laze.

RunOnceEx

So, How exactly has the integration of KB928090 changed from RC2 if RunOnceEx is still broken? laze.
14. Hey, I have no experience using WPI, but I believe it's an acronym for Windows Post Installation. My guide is for integration and therefore no installation is required. laze.
15. Hey, The process is incredibly easy, download the driver packs you require and driverbase. Open driverbase and I bet you'll be able to muddle through without too much difficulty. laze.
16. Hey, That seems huge! It shouldn't be that big! Why don't you integrate the critical updates using RyanVM's update pack? This will save you a ton of space. laze.

RunOnceEx

Hey, Is that what the below entry in the changelog is suggesting? fix: KB841356, KB924667, KB925876, KB928090, KB928255 Using nLite v1.3 RC2 integrating IE7, followed by KB928090 still resulted in RunOnceEx not working. Is this no longer the case with the release of nLite v1.3 FINAL, has the problem been addressed? Thanks. laze.
18. Hey, Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of nLite, I only use it to integrate IE7 and the accompanying hotfixes. laze.
19. Virtually no work at all, they are, after all, essentially the same operating system. laze.
20. Hey, It works, you just get the associated problems with RunOnceEx, my guide provides a working solution. After setup completes you are not prompted to install KB928090 either via automatic updates or http://update.microsoft.com. laze.

KB905474

Hey, Thanks! But why are there two versions of the same hotfix floating around, the one you've linked to above was almost 500kb bigger than the one I had. I'll test it and report back. laze.

KB905474

Hello, This is the last hotfix I integrate before I create my image and test it using vpc. After installation completes the update still appears on http://update.windows.com as high priority and required. I understand people have been experiencing issues installing it via update.microsoft.com and Microsoft have advised users to download it directly, could there be any relation between this and the integration method nLite uses? qfecheck confirms the update is not installed on my system. Thanks. laze.
23. Hey, I don't know what the issue is, all I do know is that if you integrate IE7 with nLite and check your system32 folder ierunonce.dl_ will be a version 6 files, not version 7. If you then integrate KB928090 ierunonce.dl_ is replaced with a version 7 file. I believe the developer of nLite must have coded it so ierunonce.dl_ isn't replaced during the integration of IE7 as a workaround for the RunOnceEx issue. Integrating KB928090 does indeed break RunOnceEx again and if KB928090 was specifically released to address this issue, then I do not know why the fix doesn't work correct when integrated. Fingers would point to a problem with the way nLite integrates KB928090 if in your manual replacement you've found the *.dll contained within KB928090 does not break RunOnceEx. laze.
24. Hey Sonic, Care to expand on tap's detailed instructions? laze.
