Dude, All I read when looking at your above post was "blah blah, blah, blah blah, blah". You seem to be looking for a fight, I won't bite (wow, that rhymed) - take a chill pill and have a Merry Christmas. laze.
lol, I just wondered what your reasoning was for using f rather than 5 and if the two are essentially the same value, if using f does not differ from using 5 then no testing need be done as the outcome will be the same. And... I haven't been home so haven't done the testing yet... laze.
Quite possibly, It installs to 'C:\program files\7-Zip f\' which suggests it's ignoring the surrounding speech marks and including /f as part of the destination folder. The context-menu error also occurs when 7-Zip is installed on my current installation of XP through normal methods, so i'm beginning to think it's an issue with 7-Zip not my method of install. laze.
Hello, I am installing 7-Zip using RunOnceEx. REG ADD %KEY%\046 /V 1 /D "\"%systemdrive%\install\7zip\7z442.exe /S /D=%systemdrive%\program files\7-Zip\"" /f The program installs itself and using the software i can extract and create archives. The problem lies with the right-click context menu, 7-Zip is added, but it will not expand. Any ideas? laze.
Hello, I am using the final version of your switchless installer and I recieve "Your sharing folders aren't yet available, please try again in a minute" when trying to setup up Shared Folders. This may be a problem with Windows Live Messenger servers at the time of writing and if I discover it is, I will post back - otherwise, please fix this issue. Thank you for a great release. laze.
Hello, For S-ATA controllers not supported by Windows Setup you will need to integrate the drivers. Download them from your motherboard manufacturers website and head on over to http://unattended.msfn.org for direction on how to perform the integration. laze.
Hi, Thank you for your reply. When applied this registry tweak replaces Outlook Express with 'Apps to Install' rather than removing Outlook Express only. laze. ps. The tweak was applied on an installed version of Windows, not during RunOnceEx which may produce different results.
Hello, I know it's possible by using a registry tweak to remove both Internet Explorer and Outlook Express, but this tweak also prevents Pinned Items working in the future. Idealy what i'd like to do is only remove Outlook Express (as i don't use it), is this possible, if so, how? Thanks. laze.
Hi, To register with my details, do i add the following switches? /USER="YourUserNameHere" /COMPANY="YourCompanyNameHere" /SERIAL="YourSerialNumber" To the end of the *.exe? laze.
Hi, I have identified that this tweak: ;Remove Shortcut Arrows on shortcuts [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile] "IsShortcut"=- When used in conjunction with the Copy To... Move To... *.dll results in duplicate Copy To... Move To... entries when right-clicking start-menu favourites. Why thank you, why thank you...
