  1. Weird. Are you sure none of the INF's in the wmp9 package don't add the shortcut? the_guy
  2. Nope. 925308 includes the same files as 920958. the_guy
  3. @Tomcat: That's weird. What happens in XP and 2003 is that there's just 1 in the start menu for all users. Maybe do the same for 2000? Also, what someone should do is (if it was supported by HFSLIP) make a list of WMP hotfixes (that aren't on WU). the_guy
  4. They are non-critical, but KB817855 (wmpns.dll 9.0.0.3002), KB884723 (wmspdmo(d/e).dll 9.0.0.3254), KB885641 (qasf.dll 9.0.0.3254), KB886610 (drmv2clt.dll 9.0.0.3259), KB887078 (wmvcore.dll 9.0.0.3259) and KB885353 (wmnetmgr.dll 9.0.0.3260). There is also a long list of WMP10 fixes for XP, and a few hotfixes for WMP10 for 2003 SP1. the_guy
  5. Gotta ask: If this release handles WMP9, does this mean that we can (finally ) include other wmp9 hotfixes (i've seen people include other wmp10 hotfixes)? the_guy
  6. These use C:, but the hard drive might be a different letter. wmburn.exe-c:\program files\windows media player\roxio dwintl.dll-c:\program files\windows media player\1033 wmerror.dll-c:\windows\system32 the_guy
  7. Just looked at the knowledge base article, and it replaces MS06-049 file-for-file. the_guy
  8. Would you be able to add direct slipstreaming for WMP9 on 2000 SP4? I'm just curious. Is it possible, or is it EXTREMELY hard? the_guy

    New updates

    Actually, 902344 requires wmfdist95.exe. the_guy
  10. The second one replaces both the first one and scripten.exe. the_guy
  11. Out of all of them, i am just not sure about 892211. The rest are supported, just put them in HFSLIP. However, IE7 is NOT supported at this time (just wait until it goes final). the_guy

    New updates

For XP MCE, I'mnot sure where you'll find a list. Not sure if it's fully supported by HFSLIP yet. the_guy

    New updates

Yes. I also think Tomcat should add them to his lists. I won't be as they're not High Priority. the_guy
  14. I just thought that 922582 on 2000 would be a problem. Maybe adding a line that deletes it if the rollup is not included? the_guy
  15. The only problem with September that I can think of is KB922528 on 2000. It requires the Rollup, and there's no special mode for it. I put a note on my list that it requires the Rollup, but I don't think that will be foolproof. the_guy
  16. I'm not sure, but I think HFSLIP can detect newer versions, and keep the newer versions while deleting the older ones. Correct me if I'm wrong though. the_guy
  17. I have no idea why, but the issue on 98SE is also on ME. the_guy
  18. About the 98SE issue. I have experienced that with every archive except type 1 updates (those don't work regardless, as update.exe requires missing dependencies). I'm not sure about ME though. I'll try it this weekend and get back to you. the_guy
  19. No problem. I just hope I can get an alpha version of this out soon. Also, would you be able to request KB316638 for me? It's just that the KB article mentions portcls.sys build 3002, and the version on MDGx's site is build 3001. Note to all: This is the beginnings of me replacing the obsolete option pack. I realized that that was WAY to bulky. I also plan on making an updater for WMP updates soon. I will make a topic for this in the coming weeks. I don't think I'll make one for DirectX, as that has 1 update. the_guy

  23. @Petr: The version of 918899 on your site right now is not done by me. It's done by winxpi. I don't use the Q*_me.cat file at all. I just don'tr think it works at all, but someone can prove me wrong. Interesting thing about _SFX_MANIFEST_ though. I will use it in future for the other unoffcial IE patches. the_guy
  24. r 2000 SP4 + UR1: Please add these to the list whenever possible. *** NEW *** KB922582 -› Error message when you try to update a Microsoft Windows-based computer: "0x80070002" Download -› 542 KB (September 11, 2006) Switches: KB922582.exe /q /n /z *** NEW *** KB920685 -› Vulnerability in Indexing Service could allow cross-site scripting Download -› 1023 KB (September 11, 2006) Switches: KB920685.exe /q /n /z *** UPDATED *** KB918899 -> Cumulative security update for Internet Explorer Download -> 3.99 MB Switches: KB920685.exe /q /n /z Also, just copy the MRT section from XP SP2 to the 2000 section please. the_guy
  25. No replaced updates, other than the obvious new version of 890830. For 2000, 918899 has been updated to v3 (that's right, 3). There is also 890830 v1.20, as well as 922582 (requires the Rollup) and 920685. the_guy
