  2. you should get a good motherboard for a nice cheap price from newegg...and get a gig of ram..
  3. well i've been using Adblock and those Filtersets and i haven't seen an ad since:D
  4. why is Winamp not even on there? winamp is awsome with all it's customizability. why do people like the POS WMP anyway?
  5. oh yeah, and this would be good for both adblock versions: http://forum.pierceive.com/viewtopic.php?t=37 with that i don't think you need to go to the Filterset G, because this is an auto synch with adblock and filterset g
  6. it sucks anyway....
  7. here are some wonderful filter sets http://www.pierceive.com/filtersetg/ download the text file to your desktop or something, then open the Adblock window, and import the text file.
  8. if you knew anything, that was at his retirement party.
  9. It looks like an Atari cartridge gone bad...like how the screen is really messed up. I used the tutorial at LittleWhiteDog.com what could be wrong? (besides that it's the wrong resolution, the bitmap isn't compressed, or the colors aren't set to 16...i know those are right) and i did back up the original. (it does this for every single custom bootskin....every one i tried from little white dog had the same problem) This is the Bootskin...
  10. man, i tried doing the Win2k one...i can't get it to work at all. the image is mad distorted every time when windows is booting. (and i know i did everything right)
  11. well i can't say ME is a quality OS but i know 98 sure is.
  12. no...i don't....that's why i said it would be useful for me too...
  13. ABS hands down you can put all the same stuff in an ABS computer that you can with Alienware and get it for $2000 cheaper
  14. well he said he bought the game. I also make all my games into ISO's or something, so i don't have to get my cds out all the time, so this would be useful for me too.
  15. well what motherboard do you have? is it a sony one? if it isn't try finding the home page of it
  16. yeah, i have pretty crappy speakers, but i have very wonderful 5.1 headphones.
  17. heh, to me it seems that sound cards are mostly opinion...but i heard that the newest cards (maybe not out yet...dunno) from Creative will have built in 3.2ghz processors...i'm guessing that will be useful as it won't take as much processing power from the main processor.
  18. hmm, awhile ago my computer clock did that, but then i updated my BIOS and now it stays on time
  19. it's a tough choice, but i'm going to have to go with "C" - none of the above.
  20. actually...just today when i was at walmart (i wouldn't get it from there...i just saw it there) there was a thing that you hook two computer together using this thing, and you use a single mouse and keyboard to control them (not sure if you use a single monitor too)
  21. it would probably be cheaper to get 3 more xboxes
  22. when hard drives are reformatted, sometimes everything isn't erased.
  23. personally, i'm a computer nub, so i really don't plan on overclocking. and for the sound card, a buddy of mine at Overclockers UK said that Creative is no better than Turtle Beach
  24. well i looked around for lots of things, and i came up with this setup: -ASUS A8N-SLI Premium Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 SLI ATX AMD Motherboard -AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ Manchester Integrated into Chip FSB Socket 939 Dual Core Processor -ASUS EN7800GTX/2DHTV/256 Geforce 7800GTX 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card -mushkin SP3200 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered System Memory Model 991130 -Turtle Beach CATALINA 8 (7.1) Channels PCI Interface Sound Card -ATADC GP550 ATX12V 550W Power Supply (i made sure that the RAM and Processor are compatible with the motherboard) so how is this setup? (of course i'll have the OS and cd/dvd drives) *edit* with everything there and with 2gb of RAM it adds up to about $1,700
  25. well it seems that something went bad in the partition and i had to reformat it, so i have to start from scratch.
