in my quick launch i have some batch files that will reboot (shutdown -r) and another to logoff (logoff) but i would like one that will execute the "Switch user" anyone know the command? note: this pc is in a workgroup not on a domain.

after you set up a machine the way u like it...activated, updates ect.... sysprep it, then image it. then the next time you reimage it, it should be activated.

i put winnt.sif on the floppy when i do a clean install.... also..use floppys to flash bios's, flash server bios's/arrary's/backplanes. some people use it for ghosting. mostly to do that kinda stuff....not to store data on.

i have 2 floppys.... my 2nd one is a usb sitting on my desk....so i don't have to reach down each time... i'm lazy that way...

is it the same model? if it is a different model...you will need to do a clean install.

click on start\control panel\folder options go to the view tab and click on "apply to all folders" just kiddin...i just had to throw that one in there.... but i am curious how to do this...as i would like to import the regtweaks for the folder view as well.

your c: drive does not contain a directory called "program files"? interesting

are you installing from an oem disk, custom cd you made, nlite....?

did you delete all the partitions on the 1st disk before you installed?

is it installing to the 2nd disk? if it is... unplug the 2nd disk. format the 1st disk. install windows.....(while the 2nd disk is unplugged)

128 MB RAM? I would invest in some memory if u can... the price of memory is cheap now days...

because formating even low level formating does not actually get rid of the data. you can still retreive the data off using the right software. if you plan on getting rid,selling,trading..ect...your hd then you need to "wipe" your hd clean. for home use and reusing...formating and low level formating is ok.

when you right click on a folder...properties.. there is the General,sharing,security, and the "Customize" tab well for some reason...my customize tab is gone on a couple of "parent" folders in the root of my 2nd hd. any clue how to get this back? edit - ok..not parent folders

interesting...we are going through the same migration...we have our new exchange 2003 server up and running...we only have a few mailboxes migrated over...i have to get witih my coworker on the migration of the settings...this is mostly his project....

is this a exchange server migration upgrade?
