  1. this is a software problem not a xp problem...needs to be moved to the software forum.
  2. when you are in computer management....and on the left plane, clickon/highlight "Computer Management (Local)" then go to actions\connect to another computer.... ect..... then computer management is not local any more, it is for the other computer .... so...basically...i do not want remote pc to establish connection to my "computer management" if cluberti is right and it is the server service....this is what i am looking for...

  8. i am the exchange administrator....i can't figure out how to resolve this....
  9. how do i hide distribution lists from other "sites" here is my scenario.... we have several exchange servers/domains throughout our network. ie.. site a site b site c ect... i am in site "i" when i go to the address book, and on the right "Show Names from the:" and choose my site, the distribution lists from the other sites still show up. what do i have to do to only show distribution lists from "my site"? btw..using outlook 2003

  11. this download in particular is goofy...it's a winzip self extractor...i've burned the files to cd...but during the 2nd cd...it errors out....it won't even let me do a admin install..maybe monday i will try the a combinded dvd

  13. these 2 seperate downloads are not actually iso files. they are exe's that unzip to a folder of your choosing. you have several options including.... 1. making a dvd of the combined cd's (mentioned in this thread) 2. redownloading the 2nd cd 3. do a administrative install of streets i started the download from microsoft after i left work....and tommrow i will check out the files i downloaded.... and will update this post tommrow morning...

  15. put everything in the "new folder" do not create any more directory's in the new folder.
  16. you should be able to download the raid/sata drivers and put them in c:\pebuilder313\drivers\SCSIAdapter create a folder in "scsiadapter" and put the drivers in the new folder..
  17. you can not delete files from ghost explorer, only extract. you could use a live cd like "BartPe" to delete the page file off your hard drive. i do this about once a month for performance.
  18. are your computers on a domain? also... how are the users setup? ie administrators/powerusers?
  19. here is an example of something i use... basically if the file does not exist, it runs the install... if exist c:\windows\system32\barracudaaddin.dll goto ok "R:\Applications\Utility\Barracuda Outlook Plug-in.exe" :ok
  20. is your install nlite? is the service running? does your logon account have a password? scheduled tasks need a user name with a password
