Hi folks, I have a problem in my PC that when i click on search and search for a file or an extension like *.jpg i am getting the results as duplicate files. It is showing multiple entries for the same item and it is duplicating. When i check in the orginal location of the file i found only one file over there, but the search results are showing two files. Is there any suggestions for this. Do i have to run any batch or change the registry for this. please help. Thanks in advance. Sheiky.

I have attached the picture where it is displayed in the upper left hand corner inside IE whenever i am downloading any file from the internet. When i right click on the file i can do "save as" without any problem. Do i have to register any particular file...

Install K-Lite Codecs and then you will be able to watch all the possible file formats thru WMP 10.

Hi Here is one issue I got. Whenever i download any file from the internet whether it is an *.exe file or *.zip file, i am getting an image in the upper left hand corner inside Internet Explorer and nothing else. I cannot get the "open", "save", "cancel" options at all. I have re-installed IE thru INF and also registered IE DLL's and optimized IE completely and nothing works...! Does anybody have any clue why it does. Thanks in advance... Sheiky...

You can try Zone alarm for controlling your web browser and freeze internet if you want...

Try ccleaner (www.ccleaner.com) it will give u some space... Also you can do manually... run - %temp% - delete all the files and folders run - temp - delete all the files and folders run - prefetch - delete all the files Also delete temporary internet files If you have multiple user account dont fail to delete their temp folders too... Hi Folks, I wanna help. When we do an upgrade from Windows 98, ME, 2000 to Windows XP using the Windows XP upgrade CD, it will ask for previous operating system (Qualifying Media). I want to know what files are been checked as the qualifying media. Can we create a floppy or a CD and by-pass the option and continue the installation. Thanks & Regards, Sheik

hi i am using win 2k prof. i have zone alarm, avg antivirus, microsoft antispyware beta. ok. what exactly happened is i am connected to the internet and i installed warez p2p software from www.warez.com. when i install the software zone alarm asked for blocking some file as a malicious content, so i blocked the files told by zone alarm pro. after that i lost my connection. i am connecting using a phone line dsl connection. the problem is I can connect to the internet and i got the public IP address, but i cannot ping any web sites. i cannot browse any web sites. so i uninstalled my ethernet profile and adapter, uninstalled & reinstalled the TCP/IP. also i have uninstalled the zone alarm pro. but still i cannot browse but i am getting the public ip. i tried to release the ip but error occurred as operation is been done which is not a socket. so whats ur suggestion. any thing to do with winsock or somethin. what i have to do. kindly reply. regards sheik...

hi i donno whether this will help u or not go to services.msc inside run dialog box and check whether the dns related services are running are not... if not start the service and run the installation again.. make sure all antivirus and firewall are temporarily disabled... regards sheik...

hi this problem is the dlink needs to be configured properly.make sure u have configured the dlink with the dsl modem. try connecting the dlink and open the ip : 192.168.0.1 You will be asked to type in a User Name and Password to login to your DLink router. The default is admin for the User Name and the password is blank(no password). Press the OK button after typing in your username and password. update the user information and password and restart the router and check it... regards sheik...

right click on lan icon and select properties / uncheck the option which says "notify me when this connection has little or no connectivity" and check whether lan says connected or not and then try... regards sheik...
