I reckon you should wait for the price to go down before getting one. So far I've seen a 120GB SATA HD for around £130 or something in that region and a 180GB IDE HD 7200rpm for £120. Which one would you go for out of these two? Both have 8mb buffer.

LOL I agree. When you burn a cd, all your (relevant) files are copied into a temp folder during the process so there would be no difference at all. Just means you'd be wasting your time defragmenting your HD.

I've noticed from looking through all these threads that quite a few switches for different programs include /QN or QB. I want to ask what these two specific switches mean and maybe an explanation on what other switches do if possible.

Firstly, it depends on how far your machine is from the CS server. Secondly, it depends on who is sharing your connection/contention ratio of the ISP. And thirdly, it depends on the CS server itself. Other cs players can cause your ping to go up. Not sure if you've seen some players asking for admin (in the game) to kick people with high pings.

Ok, need to skip a step for a moment. If Oempreinstall=Yes copies the contents of the $1 folder to C:/ - what happens if you only have a 5GB partition? make it 3.5GB for that matter!!
