You mean make setup change the registry to how you want it but as if it was the default anyway.

ok you still want to change the screens in setup. go to your windows xp area and go in to the I386 folder and then to the system32 folder and in there is a file called SMSS.EXE that contains some of the screens in setup.

Same with the link on the MSFN frontpage it dont work.

i get a message saying Unable to reslove server.

You can add a custom logo or picture in the top coner of the screen but i think thata all you can change.

if you use the classic start menu when you re-forrmat your computer my documents, my computer and my network places will automactilly been on the desktop. Otherwise use the COPY or XCOPY command to create a link for the Document and Settings Folder on the C drive.

i no but control panel dont come up in my computer after that registry is used.

ok it did not work but i have found out more about adding control panel to my computer these two files get change as well when i change the option for control panel to be displayed. C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\ntuser.dat.LOG C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\SECURITY.LOG Does anyone no how to modify them??
