Best version of Ghost to use for imaging Vista?
i found this for ghost 8.3{not tested by me} "Just run the following commands (one time only) from a cmd box in Vista under an admin account :" BCDEDIT /set {bootmgr} device boot BCDEDIT /set {default} device boot BCDEDIT /set {default} osdevice boot "By doing just that, one time, Vista is now set up to always work with your Ghost boot disk; You can make Ghost images just like you did with all the other operating systems. Why do most people leave out Internet Explorer on unattented install?
i remove i.e. for security reasons. it's buggy and is very vulnerable to exploits{viruses,dialers,hi-jackers,etc.}

Stand-Alone WPI Cd
incase anyone else removes i.e. and wants to run wpi as a standalone cd. Autorun.inf [AutoRun] open=START.cmd icon=wpi.ico START.cmd REGEDIT /S hta.reg start/wait "" C:\WINDOWS\system32\mshta.exe "%CD%\wpi.hta" exit hta.reg ;thanks Clint Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\.hta] @="hta_auto_file" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\hta_auto_file\shell\open\command] @="\"C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\mshta.exe\" \"%1\"" place these 3 files in the WPI directory. they will silently reg mshta.exe and start WPI.hta.
