I think it is the NTOSKRNL.EXE file but you need to get the image right, you can search google for guides to editing the ntoskrnl file, i will try and find some later - ATM im reading HP and the HBP

I wonder where the internet explorer about image is - the one in it now looks like it was from 2000 I might get reshacker out and have a look around for some more files that could be patched and find that IE about image

Thanks XPero Heres my dodgy excuse for a bootscreen Just a first idea i wasnt gonna put any detail in it because of the palette this is just a standard gif file, i wasn't going to put it in the full ladida standards. The picture looks crappy small (well it is crappy, but looks better when it is full size) So has anyone else got any they'd like to share?

Now maybe we should help him I think some guidlines should be put down The bootscreen should still have the windows xp stuff like it does now but dont add home or pro or anything because XPize is used on both Remember the pallette (spelling?) and maybe if XPero feels like it he might add it in XPize as an extra feature My idea that i havent made is that its exactly the same exept where it says WINDOWS XP it should have WINDOWS XPized (in the same fint color as if it was apart of it This is just for fun and an idea for people if they want their own XPized bootscreen they have made already to share BTW those about 'guidelines' dont matter it was just a thought and someone if they want make mine so i can see what it looks like I'm lazy at the moment. Theres a pallette file somewhere for Photoshop to read the Bitmap out of the ntoskrnl.exe file Also once again this is just for fun i dont think XPero wants a bootscreen in XPize because it is a task to get it right but maybe he might consider using one made by his fans here at MSFN Forums

Xpize uAE is for integrating into your xp installation and doesnt have all the extras like uxtheme patch and stuff like that - i think correct me if im wrong And the standard one does everything exepct unAttended installation XPize uAE is UnAttended Edition XPize 4 is the standard one for eveyone for Post Install use

Everything looks great but... Have you patched anything in outlook express If so, all the icons are still the 98ish kind Also i noticed in the old Xpize as well in outlook express the about box shows a big ugly old looking OE icon And when new email comes in an icon is placed in the systray that is old looking as well If not i hope you do one day Everything else looks great, im still looking out for bugs Also the Alt Tab replacer is excellent as is the new logon screen - i wonder if a boot screen is evey gonna be made use the standard one but after the little xp put ized so it would be zpized would look good By the way im using XP Sp2, its a clean install but i did have the old xpize built into my install.

Ive got an ATi 9550 as well gta sa works, driv3er doesnt for long but anyway has anyone had problems with X300 cards going to a blue screen - no text just blue - i know 2 people that GTA SA does this to them on X300 cards both high performance machines, not overclocked no viri or spyware. ive tried the Smartgart AGP settings on them but it just extends play to about 60mins other than the usual 20min

You could remove your cd rw and floppy drive but i dont think that would help you that much either I have it removed on mine (send to menu) so i cant see any changes i make - have you tried right clicking the cd-rw in my computer and disabling the recording feature (if you use windows built in burning then dont do this) its good if you use nero or a diferent burning program as this wont effect it and it may remove the link in the send to menu. As for the Floppy drive i have know idea i will keep looking though

Thats right they are automatic i found another thing that may help you 1.) http://windowsxp.mvps.org/nodrives.htm Go there they have a bit of info 2.) Use nLite and in the tweaks section click it so it removes it for you (but this means you need to reinstall) 3.) Contact the maker of nLite to ask how he made that tweak

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR ACCOUNT NAME\SendTo To see this folder you need to enable Hidden Files and Folders + Protected Systems Files in Folder Options Just delete the ones you dont want

When Xp Installs on an old pc and setup is in Lo Res it uses the old setup screen not the custom one, i was just wondering why Maybe the lo res one is in another file

I'd like to know how to modify the text that shows up (The big text like windows has a new look blah blah blah) As for modifying the setup screens i would try (on a test installation incase it breaks it) Using expand on some of the compressed dll's or other files and open them in reshacker and try and have a look, i dunno but its an idea

Despite the hack's implimentation, it still claims that IE doesn't support 256 colour PNG alpha properly. A method using PHP Most webhosts support php, luckily. But it's still ridiculous that this hack is needed. Javascript PNG Hack Many users disable Javascript, and IE has had Javascript security flaws in the past. Why not have a properly functioning image library to begin with? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I dont think it really matters whats better since its the users opinion, i use IE6 Sp2 and have had no problems at all Firefox has also had Javascript flaws and also many more the same as any other software including IE i did use Firefox for a while but it failed to secure my bank account pages and the javascript flaw allowed my credit card (multi access card) to be viewable in any page by using a simple little java script app it displayed the number right there in plain veiw (plus other crap) Overall I rather IE, Firefox is the best for customizability but i wouldnt trust it security wise (That my opinion)
