  6. Or in the control panel go into administrative tools then services find 'Security Center' right click go into its properties and set it to disabled in the drop down menu then click 'stop' service and reboot and the "security centre' is gone!
  7. Yes right click 'my computer' on the desktop then follow the above instructions If its there in Windows 2003
  8. Have you tried using the camera on someone elses computer? Try that and see if it does it If they havent set the 'Auto Reboot on System Fail' it will reboot and not show a blue screen Then you know something is wrong with your camera
  9. Another funny thing about that is they had Xp Home on a work PC :S
  10. My digital camera if left in on reboot, after the main BIOS screen i get a TRAP EXCEPTION Does it happen straight away or after a while Maybe the drivers are corrupt for your camera
  11. I dont think he has an orignal XP cd - HP are mungruels with that They have it so you cant give out copies of it and stuff like that
  12. Mods this topic needs moving To do that - i think it has been postede before Im not being rude but searches are useful I dont know how to do it but our good friend google does and somewhere on this forum ive seen it before But im sure someone will tell you how Also Welcome To MSFN
  13. Wow he likes IE more than me And he's and aussie well done mate Well done good post Some great points noted as well
  14. Well dont use it then, why did you bother installing it then if opera is the best? If you havent installed it how do you know its garbage? Can someone explain the 'Multi Tab Creator"
  15. I thought the file was NTOSKERNEL.EXE You are talking about the windows boot screen and not the BIOS boot screen because some computers have BIOS boot screens as well
  16. Can you please explain the slowdown i havent noticed any?
  17. I use the Omega drivers, but i wouldnt recommend them for the 'average user' as the extras it comes with are advanced As for the way they give out drivers at least when you find them they work /OFFTOPIC I have searched EVERYWHERE (Google, driver guide) for drivers to get an nVidia Riva TN2 32mb AGP card working nVidia have drivers and says it supported and for xp and yet i run the installer and it goes you arent using a supported card so i cant my d3d acceleration /OFFTOPIC Anyway i didnt think that the omega drivers are 'meant' for mobile products?
  18. why dont people jump down FF's throats about 'copying' the bitorrent idea If IE had it you would all be MS i copying blah blah blah I've noticed that Firefox users are really stuck up, and wont let the fact sink in that their browser isnt loved by everyone Opera users - nice people, quiet, calm replies IE users - nice people, quiet, calm replies Also i agree with most people firefox is becoming Bloatware! soon with site making extension it will be worse then activex controls in IE Thank god IE7 is in beta now (as a matter of fact im using it now and its been working fine)
  19. Thank you so much for your help I jusr realised i past 100 posts
  20. Exactly THANK YOU i was expecting to get blasted lol Some one agrees with me which is true So who here has testing IE7 and found it found so far....
  21. Well first of i'm guessing that MoBo isnt PCI Xpress I would go for a ATi 9800 if your going to buy something new I have an ATi 9550 256mb and it runs good but the 9800 is alot better Radeon® 9800 technology is available in five product configurations built by ATI: Radeon® 9800 XT, Radeon® 9800 PRO 256MB, Radeon® 9800 PRO 128MB,Radeon® 9800 128MB and Radeon® 9800 LE 128MB. http://www.ati.com/products/radeon9800/radeon9800pro/
  22. Infected from what I've had a hell of alot more problems with firefox than IE I have NEVER got any virus through ANY browser I only had the Blaster Worm and Sasser and (I cant remmeber the other name) Seriously the only people who get infected thru browsers are people that are stupid enough to download virus's or install activex controls (THAT NEED USER INTERACTION - SO ITS NOT IE's FAULT ITS THE USERS - Also many sites have firefox extensions that are bogus as well now) So you find me proof that Internet Explorer can infect people with no reason given than i'd gladly use the pathetic excuse for a browser firefox - that popularity is draining out anyway not long until they give up on the program anyway - like most others - the only browser that come even close to IE is Opera but its not free So i dont think you should be telling people not to download it because YOU dont like it ok its your opinion let them find out on their own ok I say if you want to try BETA softwar eand understand the risks THAT WILL BE FIXED than i say do so at your own free wil As for the FF vs IE it needs to stop its pathetic and annoying now ok seriously!
  23. Well i'd say its a good machine of course a better video card wouldnt hurt, but still 2gb of ram would definately suffice, you have a fast hard drive so thats good Im guessing your getting a dvd burner as well? And even most games would run fine on that pc anyway How much is it all up? - Yay 99 posts lol
  24. the google and yahoo toolbars have been tested and they work they work for me anyway yahoo does work just not to it fullest and search does work you can choose - msn/google/ask jeeves and more it wont work if you use the .local work around install
  25. Its can be good or bad depends on what you are going to use it for Such as gaming not good standard school/business stuff - yes but we do need more specs and what ur using it for
