  1. That a great site BTW i would recommend Opera, but it depends on what you have Have you got high speed internet because then loading time wont matter it will be rendering time that you want to be quicker
  2. Google for reshacker and open msgina.dll ( I think ) replace the files inside it with your own Remember to keep a back up of your msgina.dll
  3. Yeah good list well done jisimmn63 for the find and well done MS for making it. There are a few i didnt know about
  4. I prefer IE Simple no extra configuring crap needed anyplugins i need are already there (Flash, Shockwave, Adobe Reader, Google) I tried Opera it is a $hitload better than FF, opened faster, loads pages faster I just dont like the ads and crap thats all, and i dont want to pay for it when IE works fine. face it firefox is slow for most users that aren't "advanced" becaue they wouldnt know what pipelining is. IE is great for everyone Opera is great for every wanting alternaties to IE, or 'powerusers' Firefox is just annoying now, with everyone saying its 'it and a bit' im sick of hearing it, ads about it everywhere, sounds like they are trying to take over
  5. Try Right click desktop --- properties -- settings --- advanced button --- then the adapter tab ---- then click List all modes That will show every possible resolution you can use Go through each one making sure its 32bit and 60hz Ooops i noticed someone above has posted this sorry If you do try this method make sure if your screen goes blank while you're changing any of the display settings - do not touch anything!!! Windows will automatically revert back to the old settings after 15 seconds if nothing is touched or clicked (Sorry i copy and pasted that from above but it is a good warning) The recommended ones are not always the only ones you can use if it says default monitor it will thing you have a basic screen to i do suggest the above method
  6. I like WMP Because it simple to use, very customizable, uss less ram/resources than Winamp. And the CD Ripping part is free and the most accurate! I do use winamp, but i thing Windows Media Player is an exellent player for video, dvd, audio, live feeds, and other stuff winamp can't do! The media guide is good, it is very good with DRM Files, And ive never had any problems with it IDont know why other people like it but that is why i do! EDIT: Also for people that want to proove WMP is very custmizable have a look at this MS Site http://www.wmplugins.com/ - ts funny they even have podcast on a MS Site lol
  7. @Larrylim We make a big fuss about google because they rock and do everything for free. (IMO) Its got nothing to do with where they are on some market scale Everything google has made is so simple and free, and very useful Web Search, Images, Video (Upload and searching) , Gmail, Desktop search, sattelite images, an a hell of alot more! And once again it all free!!!
  8. I have a Motorola V535 and i've unlocked it, it was stuck on the Optus network (**** Optus) now im fine on a Telstra sim, and other people have tried Vodaphone SIMs in mine and it works (Before it didnt) I Used a Flex of someone else and Hex Edited it so it would suit my phone - i had alot of help from people at Motomodders.net
  9. VLC Player Its a stand alone player that has its own codecs built in it plays ANYTHING you throw at it http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
  10. iTunes is spying on you, sending your stats to their servers and then looks around your HDD for music and redownloads its own settings from www.apple.com/itunes/spylogs.html Its simple - END SARCASM It is freaky how it remembered but i guess if it worked in advantage i wouldnt complain and i also would rely on it
  11. I use XP Codec Pack has media player classic heaps of codecs and ive never had a problem with it
  12. I like longhorns style The apple one is good but they only give you a choice of Blue and Graphite @snively - can you make a better one for me and i'll use it and i'll submit it to MS and they can use it

  15. I totally agree Our Certificate 4 IT room we have our own personalized computers to use We have got a heap of nVidia Riva/Vanta TNT2's and the drivers with windows are crap and no matter where i try to find more i cant upgrade nVidia's site says it supports them and you cant send them an email about it because its asking for support which you need to pay for nVidia cards (pretty good) nVidia service s***TY Thats why i prefer ATi BTW even the Omega nVidia driver dont update because they are based on the offical drivers
  16. I think its excellent they are doing this I never liked firefox and never will But i think if they put this code to good use it will become a great browser for those with need for features like that. But i agree i think its also to p*** MS off I do have a though, isnt Firefox open source would that mean this will be available to everyone? Or is it diferent

  21. That image resizing thing was also in IE6 - its just when its still there when you scrool up and down - annoying but not much of a problem
  22. The most you would get out of it would be saving a small bit of HD space I guess you could make the PF very tiny, i think removing it causes problems
