Well of course its going to be similar to XP, just like xp is to win 2000 and that to win98 and so on, they aren't going to completely change every little aspect and confuse people that are just learning how to use XP. How do you knowis not better than firefox, EDIT: I read the feature list and it does ad alot of great features to IE It cant be a complete ripoff of Firefox, because opera had alot of those features before Firefox It does improve IE ALOT

still looks good But nothing can make me switch from IE7 (except IE8+ )

Yep paint rules for little things Screenshots and stuff Loads nearly instantly and has limited features but works well Also keeps little kids at school happy

Have you got Windows File Protection on? If yes then it will auto replace your with the windows original First copy it to c:\windows\system32\dllcache and then rename you c:\windows\system32\msgina.dll to msginabackup.dll and then copy the new one into that folder. If it still doesnt work, i dunno? just tried the above first.

I think it looks good im sure it wont force you to use the 'dumbed' down interface Also the media centre part would be good for people without media centre edition xp. Also NeroMIX (Media player) is a wicked little player sounds great But the other stuff (besides nero digital) arent that good - also the nerovision dvd player is crap.

But remember alot of googles services are still in beta so thery are yet to be improved and given widely. But thank you for not 'trolling' and giving it a good opinion view on it (unlike wolf demon)

Im not pushing you to switch but have you signed in with a google account (i noticed you have a gmail account) and customized it I dont want movie times there because i rarely see movies once a week is good enough. (But yes the option would be good to have) You can have gmail preview, directly read your email on the front page and have tools like links to www.xe.com the best currecny converter. Also its the latest thing to go in 'beta' under google labs, yahoo have had theirs for years Google have only just started one, and its great (not for everyone of curse) I personally think that the Yahoo and MSN 'my' pages are very bloated and ad filled Also im sure if google wanted they could put adsense in the start page. But i want you to know im not arguing or trying to start one im just pointing out info for other people as well. There will always be people that rather Yahoo over Google or vise versa It choice, everyone has it and its great to have there

Sorry i was using Opera 8 They had their online 10th Party and were giving out free rego's It is an awesomely fast browser Even though i will remain to use IE (Personal Preference) I would recommend Opera to anyone wanting an alternative to IE Seriously Firefox isnt as great as it is made out to be As someone said it is open source anyone can go reading it looking for flaws and using them to attack the browser and its users. Its not that great if you dont sit there for hours setting each setting perfect under about:config Its not worth the hassle Opera works wicked out of the box, Just like IE just a tad better (IMO)

fdv is right about the IE bashing, i think and many others would agree, its getting boring and annoying Has anyone got anything good to say, or when Beta 2 will be out I have loved the little features the have added in and cant wait for final The way it handles tabs is great - of course it needs more customizability But if they give to much customizability then it gets to complicated for people that don't use computers much I also have Beta Slipstreamed into my latest XP CD and it runs great "Used nLite Beta 6"

Yes if you don't know alot about how to use reshacker it can be 'fatal' to your installation That program sounds good i will have a look around for you

I have an LCD 17" Monitor for normal veiwing (Computer stuff) The downside is when you play games in lower res its looks like crap For games and video i use my 68cm CRT TV
