  1. Tux this is impressive. How did you do it? I have an oem xp disc I bought and not using. I would switch from 2k to xp on one puter with results like this.
  2. I had the same problem. I didnt find a fix for it.
  3. Just like tux said it is a pitate os. I just wanted to look at it to see how he did it so I can make my own.
  4. There is an os called xp jacked core. Does anyone know how he did it? I do like 2k and hfslip is amazing. Everyone that worked on it and contributed to it breathed new life in 2k.
  5. I have been modding 2k with very good results. Now I am going to try xp. Is it possible to get a stable xp with about 30 mb comitt using hfslip? How bout hfslip/nlite together. Size doesnt matter as much as security, efficientcy, and stability.
  6. If I take xp and nlite it and disable unneeded services and disable most of the eye candy (still need a little) whas is the compasison to an nlited 2k running the same services? How about size and security difference? Speed difference?
  7. Bed sheets An extremely modest man was in the hospital for a series of tests, the last of which had left his bodily systems extremely upset. Upon making several false alarm trips to the bathroom, he decided the latest episode was another and stayed put. He suddenly filled his bed with diarrhea and was embarrassed beyond his ability to remain rational. In a complete loss of composure he jumped out of bed, gathered up the bed sheets, and threw them out the hospital window. A drunk was walking by the hospital when the sheets landed on him. He started yelling, cursing, and swinging his arms violently trying to get the unknown things off, and ended up with the soiled sheets in a tangled pile at his feet. As the drunk stood there, unsteady on his feet, staring down at the sheets, a hospital security guard, (barely containing his (laughter), and who had watched the whole incident, walked up and asked, 'What the heck is going on here?' The drunk, still staring down replied: 'I think I just beat the #### out of a ghost.'

  10. When making a driver cd, do I leave them compressed?
  11. I am using 2k. Is it possible to take out the server portion of 2k and xp with nlite? Would it cripple the OS?
  12. Good to hear from you again gdogg. Its been a while. Any plans for a 2k version?
  13. gdogg I would have helped on your project but I couldnt download it or unzipp I cant remember. A lot of people are still interested.
  14. I chose windows 95 cause it lacks some dll's to run certain software.98 was a little better.98SE was great. ME with a few tweaks ran flawless for me. The only thing I have against ME was that MS dropped project neptune (windows 2000 home) in favor of ME. A very bad move. A friend of mine has to have the latest OS is using vista. He claims vista is the worst. I dont to ever use vista so I dont know if its true or not.
  15. I use windows 2000. To me it suites my needs perfectly. The only complaint with it is, it lacks the softer feel that xp has. It seems to have the hard edge rugged feel to it. I guess I will live with it till a solution comes along.
  16. Sorry to bump an old thrread. Which cool icons will display correctly in windows 2000? Does anyone have an icon pack for it?
  17. I havnt yet. A bloke in the IT dept wants to buy my lcd that cuts out from time to time. If I sell this I can prob get a new lcd. Already this week I repaired 2 computers on the side, this helps too.
  18. Its great but it weighs a ton. I lift weights but this is ackward when moving it.
  19. Is there a service(s) needed for video drivers to install and work correctly?
  20. I am 51 years young, but in good shape. My eyes are not bad. I might consider a 17 inch. Thanks.
  21. I am in the market for a 19 inch lcd not wide screen. I want to get the best for the smallest amount of money because of my budget. I dont care if there is a tuner on it but that would be nice. Any ideas?
