Intel celeron about 1.2 processor. DVD play fine on my computer, amd 1400+ I know both are a few years old and for the most part suits our needs. This dvd playback thing has me stumped.

It did this when new on both the dvd-rw and dvd-rom. I think it is probally a issue with drivers then. What do you suggest?

I put a dvd in my GF computer. On dvd playback the dvd studders and is unwatchable. She has xp and has 300+ of ram. I have tried a few different players. Should I take them out a reinstall them a different way? I forgot which IDE cable they are on. DW

BUMP I am having this issue also with my new iso of windows 2000. I looked in the cd and halacpi.dll is in there but installation halts. Any ideas?

If I burn a dvx or avi file back to dvd does it keep the original region code?

Windows 2000 is a very good OS

Tried it and works great I wish it would take out region codes out of avi or dvx. Any help here

I have used a lot of software to change from pal to ntsc. The results are the same in all. The video and audio dont line up after the conversion. Is there a software which will do this conversion correctly?

Tim try unplugging the 20 set the jumpers on the 80 as master. Run a software to zero fill HD then reformat and install windows. Sounds like there is a bad sector and zero fill might fix it.
