i would make a def nlite cd with the core stuff that is needed for both laptops and desktop put in the updates you want and the addon appz as well it should be good for both only thing thats make a desktop a desktop is the size of the unit besides that both are the same

ooh yes smart mov the new one works well as all i use is the %wpipath%\\install\\path\\to\\setup.exe just finished doing the reconfig of the config and testing lol note :: some of the program i use need to have like the %cdrom% path set or they dont install like office and nero 7 i found can be evil in that way so i use a go.bat / go.cmd file to load up the setting i need to be able to install them without a prolem

not sure if you got ur problem there fix but i think its coz the %CDROM% is not set to what drive is the cd-rom/ dvd rom drive there is a code line that sets it i think that may help have a look at http://unattended.msfn.org/unattended.xp/view/web/59/

as far as i know the OEM cds that being built only for that type of pc so its no good in any other pc but thats the problem if you getting a rebuild pc with OEM xp :-s

its an ok appz its takes a while to get to know where thing are in it i cant really tell you that much about it i had it installed once or twice thats about it when i testing it but i cant remember anything about it i will get it installed tongithw hen i get home to do some testing but its look like and easy to use
