you can install ANYTHING via the runonce as long as you can ... silent install / or auto scriptit ... install ... like for office there is a office setup kit ... thats lets you do all the pre config settings like serial / name / what progams install .. so on and it will tell you how to run it in the $OEM$\C\install\office.cd1\ -> put the office files there it will be copyed over at the end of the blue text installer of windows ... before the PC reboot and the GUI installation takes over than in the runonce .. its simple like c:\install\office.cd1\setup and put in the last bit that offices setup kit tell you to do arrr i will let you know what its called i cant remember its name off the top of my head ATM Office 2003 Resource Kit its called

some hotfixes cant be added thats normal just install them yourself in windows or make a script that does them at the runonce part of windows

addons : you mean the ones that the users make like VLC addon , firefox addon all they do is install the program silent at the T-13 part of windows installation so thats they are there and no need for you to do anything i think thats what your getting at

60 % of installers out there use the simple command like one of them to make it install silent ... and as everyone else says check the Application Installs http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=80 for it they may have it listed there

have you try to work it out yourself some programs use /s /S /silent /verysilent MSI files use /passive (silent install ) /norestart ( to stop it from restarting after the install ) and just a tip if you have got links to like the MS site to download them they would be better due to the fact that you don't have to wait an hour or so to download the next file from RS

ok .... lets do this to save you a lot of problems my control than Email Settings than Enable 'Email Notification' by default? than pick the type than you should not have this problem anymore arrr do this setup a test env of windows than copy that into notepad and save the file as test.reg run the file and see if you get any errors if so than debug the code

ok step1 . click report if there is a Double post so that we know about it step2 . click on options -> track this topic and i think it does the "Enable email notification of replies?" for you ... ok about your topice anyway arr no there is no addon that can do that but there is a serives area of Nlite where you can disable the services that you dont want to start up

ok give me 10 mins to upload the screen shots and i did some thinking on it ok you didt change the start menu you changed the windows theme your running / using your using windows classic style if you want the classic start menu do this nlite -> on the unattended install page goto desktop themes than click the box " classic start menu" to get the start menu to look like this or to have the one you got pick from the drop down menu on the desktop themes page from " default theme" windows classic

what OS you Nliting XP , 2003 server complex passwords are only enabled on 2003 and a real dogs ...... as well i hate to see say but something your doing is it right - > im still eekkking over the problem - >

give it a test in like VMware to make sure its all working before burning it to a CD .. just incase it's not working im off to bed its 1:20 am here so time to sleep maybe have fun with it , if it is working . . if not .. head up so i can take another look at it today sometime

how long does it take to install normal done it took about 5 to 8 mins to install a tab slow anyway trying to make the addon now building test ISO : test install : 40 mins to reply : not the fastest pc using tonight

well i say you need to give the VMware a tab more memory i take it you where using the default 256 MB its gives xp even than it shouldn't be a problem at all did you give the default settings for XP / 2000 workstation in VMware or did you change it ? if so to what

ActiveX thats got more holes than windows itself has got thats bad .. but thats just me .. as a friend of mine say a site or anything that use ActiveX ... than you should be using it but thats just him and i think he is right with that arr sorry im not help on how to fix your problem but thats was just a friendly hint
