i have tried copying the [Pid] ExtraData=786F687170637175716954806365EF Pid=76487OEM details from my oem cd to my custom cd and that didnt work

it's actually 5.1.2600 retail - hmmz but i dont know why i cant use the cd key ...

so does anyone know if can do it ?

i am using my oem key on my custom windows installation cd and it does not work if you read the post i extracted the oem cd key from winnt.sif file its the key my oem cd uses i searched the forums but oem doesnt work as a search term

hello, i have an original oem installation cd that is unattended for the cd key only the rest is punch in values and go.. the problem is the instalation is broken if i install windows xp from that cd my laptop with which this cd came with will lag and be slow and other problems i have bothered dell for like a month about the slowness they neglect anything is wrong... anyhoo if i use my legit cd key that i extracted from winnt.sif on my original oem cd and bash it into my custom cd it wont work so i googled the issue and found something http://www.petri.co.il/use_oem_version_to_upgrade_xp.htm so i copy the details from my original oem cd into my custom cd so it changes as little as possible and lets me use the cd key but it still does not please help

use opera and set the cashe to a very simple directory that you can find easyli - watch a trailer ant it will download a mov file copy that to where u wanna keep the trailer rename it accordingly ... simple

i think advertising yourself in this sorta forum will get you nothing more than the ability to get drunk with 50 odd geeks ... if a forum is made up of people that post all the time ant come back and dont just abandon the forum after their problem has been solved - you can get genuine "forum friends" i have this friend where he made friends with people over a forum and even to the forum is dead he still keeps in touch via im email and other crap ... giving your personal details on your own website is an invitation for trouble spam identity theft giving your personal details on a forum ... well that depends on what kind of people make up the forum...

i have seen some really disturbing scenes of spyware tottaly demolishing a windows installation - my friend who is no as computer litterate as me has reinstalled windows himself without taking any antispyware precautions - and i know that if you install winxp and have a net connection some spyware will corrupt your installation and can even intergrate itself into the kernel or some crap like that - because when i was at his house and tried to use winpatrol - which is absolutely the dog's danglies since it allows you to delete iexplore core attachments - like seachbars and so on it really helps - and informs you when ever a program is putting itself into the startup.... anyway i could not install it because it kept giving error winnt 16 bit .... close and ignore buttons .. so i had to find an alternative to free his computer... hijackthis is neat but very brute - if you dont know what is what you might mess things up... but yeah i say spybot 1.4 then run winpatrol or hijack this also going into safemode and rerunning these apps makes sure you can get rid os them and there not going to be started
