Looking at the channel9 vids on Vista, it would sure be a shame if MS botches this really impressive looking OS by making it buggy as heck because they lost a beta.....and thus the chance to squash more bugs. I would rather they have a whole years worth of betas and so forth and give extra time than having to wait to get a copy of Vista with a Service Pack.

I use winamp for music. For everything video I use WMP10. Works just fine. And also use it to rip CDs.

Look I understand about MS doing more testing and stuff before releasing a product into the market.....I mean besides the heating issue there were the discs being scratched etc etc. Sue them for that! Surely the machines cant be crashing because they are overheating IF they are placed in a decent environment. I agree MS needs to do more work before laucnhing a product as I have always said but to get sued for damages and stuff? If the guy just wanted a brand new replaced Xbox and his money back and call for the fixing up of all troublesome xboxes that is something else. Seemed to me he was trying to get a piece of the pie the easy way....and the EU comes into mind.

Nowadays it is all about just graphics and really complicated gameplay.....no joy.....NFS Most Wanted is the biggest example of that. I think NFS really had it right with the Porsche series. They should have made a Supercar series....realistic physics, realistic damage models...oh yeah!

Any reason why you are so concerned about security? If security is of your prime concern the last OS you should be using is XP. Any software may be broken but the important thing is in how much you delay. Try using Linux....with all your information encrypted in an external hard drive which you unmount as soon as you are done accessing it....that should be more than secure enuf for your needs.

Like the screenies...kind of disappointing really after all the time and money MS has invested into it but that is an unfair judgement becuase I have not test driven it yet. Still MS OSes are the only OSes in the world that have intro screenshots with antispyware prgram screenies....kind of discouraging.

This game sucks! I downloaded the demo and that was bad enough! What is it with games making nice cars all riced out!! Ricers are for girls dude...anyway and what about handling? Physics and car characteristics are shot to hell. Graphics are great if you only have a good graphics card of course. All in all if you like arcade games then this is a pretty one for you. Else stick with real men's games.
