  1. I noticed a very small bug on 3.5.3.3540 and 22621.755. I have a Surface Laptop studio and when I switch between tablet and laptop mode the icons on the taskbar space out wider to make them easier to touch. The issue is when I go into tablet mode on occasion they will get wider normally but when I switch back to laptop mode instead of the spacing shrinking back to normal the icon spacing will become extra wide, even wider than in tablet mode. This doesn't happen every time. I tried a different user profile and also reinstalling SAB without settings. I also had it happen on the production 3.5.3 build. Edit just to add my taskbar is on top, I have small icons, Large icon spacing and labels always shown.
  2. Maybe try to create a new profile and see if the issue persists. It may be user profile corruption.
  3. I'm on the same build with no issues. Are you running anything that could conflict like Start11 or Explorer Patcher?
  4. I have a feeling a lot of it is reverse engineered with a lot of customization to enable all of the different features. A lot of work has gone into this!
  5. Thank you, Win 10 behaves the same way. Blame Microsoft and be thankful to Tihiy for making such a great piece of software that restores functionality to Win 11 faithfully.
  6. I also want to add this is the exact behavior you would see in Windows 10. I can reproduce this exactly with one of my PWAs and if I disable SAB and instead use the Windows 10 taskbar ported from ExplorerPatcher the same behavior is observed. Your options are to hide taskbar labels, use Start11, or uninstall SAB. This is totally expected behavior and you cannot change it.
  7. It's intended behavior, nothing you can do.
  8. I think what Tihiy is saying is that the taskbar in StartAllBack will show the icon associated with the Window (it can be seen usually in the top left corner), not the app. For example, a PWA I run shows a slightly different icon when the app is open vs when the app is closed. When open the taskbar shows the icon one would see in the top right corner of the application window, when the app is closed it shows the slightly different app icon. The stock Win 11 taskbar doesn't do that but the SAB taskbar does. Start11 is a completely different (inferior) product that completely re-implements a rather buggy attempt at a taskbar that runs in an external process. What is nice about SAB is that the program is essentially injecting it's code into explorer.exe leading to less resource usage and better user experience.
  9. Thank you so much for the reply back, I really do appreciate the clarification. I'm amazed at the great work you do to restore productivity to Windows. Thanks again!
  10. I just wanted to follow up on the issues I've been having with Mica in Windows 10 and 7 style File explorers in 22H2. Does anyone know if this has been deprecated of if it is a bug?
  11. I just want to add and after a little more testing this happens regardless of whether tabs are enabled or not. It seems like Mica is partially broken on 22H2 (said 21H2 in my initial post but I meant 22H2).
  12. I love this application, I remember using SIB on Windows 8.1 many years ago and am loving SAB on Windows 11 so much that I wish I continued using SIB++ on Windows 10 all of these years. Props to Tihiy for making such a great tool that a company with a team of people (Stardock) can't even come close to! Anyway I noticed a small issue on 21H2 with tabs enabled with Vivetool. When I have Mica Effect enabled in Explorer Settings an am either using the Win 10 or Win 7 layout and the explorer window is full screen the top is slightly cut off. With the Mica Effect disabled this issue goes away. Mica on: Mica off: This happens regardless of how many tabs are open or whether the taskbar is on top of the bottom (I use it on top). It seems to be a little graphical bug caused by the Mica effect being enabled along with tabs. What is also of note is that using the Win 11 command bar there is no issue with Mica on.
