Tihiy I have a bug to report. In Directory Opus the latest preview build 3.6.8.4693 seems to cause the scrollbars to change when Dark Magic is enabled. This isn't an issue in stable 3.6.8. Dark Magic Disabled: Dark Magic Enabled: All scroll bars in Directory Opus change to look like this. This is only on the most recent pre-release build 3.6.8.4693 and not 3.6.8 stable. Thanks!!

Unlock the taskbar and drag it to the corner of the screen on the other monitor like in Win 7.

Right now it's just acrylic menus. For example open device manager and click any dropdown menu and you'll see that it's acrylic. It doesn't support apps that don't use standard Win32 menus.

Very nice! Thanks for the great work as always!!

Tihiy this is great! Just a question, are there any plans for properties dialog's to display in dark theme when launched from other applications? For example I use Directory Opus as my primary file manager rather than explorer and it would be awesome if the property sheets would be dark themed when launched from DOpus. Thanks!!

Traffic Monitor is the way to go! DU Meter costs an obscene amount of money. Traffic Monitor is open source, actively developed and can show basic hardware stats ie. CPU, GPU, Mobo temps, resource usage etc. It's a much more comprehensive tool. It also works with the native Win 11 taskbar if you choose to torture yourself. I suggest running the latest pre release build as it fixes an issue with the taskbar window being misaligned with the stock Win 11 taskbar. https://github.com/zhongyang219/TrafficMonitor/actions?query=workflow:"Release+CI"

The new uncombine taskbar buttons look horrible, why in gods name are they uneven? Thank you Tihiy for everything you do!

Don't use the Win 7 volume bar? Why would that be expected to be dark theme?

I don't think anyone can help you. It sounds like the feature you are looking for is deprecated. I suggested a workaround and that's all I can do. Perhaps someone else has a different suggestion but I don't think there is a way for you to get what you ask for.

If you see my earlier post you can hide icons using the control panel applet I recommended using. In that applet choose Turn System Icons On or Off and you can hide and show the system icons that you don't want to see. The supported way to access quick settings is to use the control center icon as using the Win 10 or Win 7 flyouts generally override the control center that would be brought up with the Windows 11 flyouts. Not updating SAB is not a good solution as you will quickly run into well documented compatibility issues.
-
You can enable the icon for the control center which will give you access to Windows 11's quick settings.

Since you aren't explaining your problem and instead just being rude I can only guess as to what the issue you are having is. Is it that you cannot access the control center? If that is the case, open SAB on taskbar page click notification area icons. A control panel window will open, click Turn System Icons on or off: Turn control center on, it is off by default: If this doesn't help then you will need to explain your issue better as I don't think anyone understands.
-
We can all see your screenshot but the consensus is that you aren't clearly explaining the issue you are having in spite of the screenshot. Perhaps if you clearly explain the problem others will be willing to help you. Not patching the software is not a solution to your problem and you aren't going to get anyone here assist you with an ill advised, unsupported scenario. If you'd like help you should try being a little less angry and a little more descriptive of your problem.
-
TheInvoker should clearly explain their issue rather than being rude to the developer of the software.

1. You won't be able to update Windows as SAB needs to be continually maintained and updated to ensure compatibility with the constant backend changes Microsoft makes. 2. By not updating Windows you open yourself up to security vulnerabilities. 3. If you don't care about security issues stop complaining on here and just run Windows 7. Otherwise you will need to patch SAB in order to maintain compatibility with Windows. This isn't about you doing what you want, it's about the ability for the software you use to actually function. If you like it when explorer continually crashes and locks your system up then by all means continue to use 3.4.4.

Thanks for the update and for your hard work!
-
Thanks! That worked.

Do you have a current download link for the latest preview?
-
With a three button mouse if you click the start button with the middle button (usually the scroll wheel) it will open the Windows start menu.

@Tihiy thank you for this one! As an owner of a Surface laptop studio, the taskbar getting all out of whack when switching modes was getting annoying!! Thanks for the fix!! Great updates as always!
-
I use Directory Opus as an explorer replacement. You can make it look any way you want and it's 40% off right now. It's a great piece of software.

Thanks for the fixes!

@Tihiy I saw the latest build 3.5.3.4545 posted on Twitter. That seems to have resolved this tablet mode spacing issue. Thank you for that! I appreciate you taking the time to fix such a minor annoyance! Edit: Nevermind, still having this issue. It's minor though.
