  1. Sorry for the double post, I had another thought that may help you. Maybe try creating a test user profile on your computer and see if that resolves your issue. If that's the case you can recreate your profile which is much easier than reinstalling Windows. Just move your files over to the the root of the C: drive to clear any permissions on them and then once in a fresh profile put them into place. You can also copy any program folders out of Appdata Local and Roaming so you don't have to reconfigure every program if that is indeed the solution.
  2. I would just Google around, something is probably messed up in the registry on your machine. This doesn't sounds like a SAB specific issue. SAB works by reimplementing features that were once native to Windows which is why it works so well. That's also why many settings are scattered throughout the registry.
  3. Is this enabled? Have you tried clicking Clear list if so? Edit: I just want to add if this doesn't work I'd suggest researching where Windows 7 would have stored these items in the registry. As far as I understand SiB/SAB are both meant to be compatible with Windows 7 era GPO so it would likely use the same registry entries.
  4. Also make sure something is set in Icon count here. If you want icons to show up there it shouldn't say 0. If is says 0 try entering a number. I
  5. If you can't activate @Tihiy has always helped me quickly when I reached out to his support email. If you go to startisback.com his support email is listed. Usually if it's the same machine the serial number would work without waiting 30 days. By chance have you tried right clicking a program and choose pin to start.
  6. I would try wiping your settings and putting your license key back in.
  7. @UsefulAGKHelper It's not getting fixed. You clearly didn't read the prior posts in this thread.
  8. Read a page back.
  9. It looks like 3.6.12 is out. Thanks for the fixes as always @Tihiy!!
  10. Did you try the test build a few posts up?
  11. I'm sure there will be a StartAllBack+ for Windows 12. We'll likely get a dev release next May at Build 2024.
  12. I'm pretty sure this isn't really getting updates anymore and I wouldn't expect that it would ever be open sourced.
  13. It looks like the tooltips showing up in Directory Opus in today's test build are the awesome enhanced Dark Magic ones but with the text fixed! Thank you @Tihiy!
  14. deleted post, wasn't relevant
  15. This is from the Russian forum for SAB so you'll need to use Google Translate, but it lists a few other registry locations you can back up. http://forum.ru-board.com/topic.cgi?forum=5&topic=45143&start=1600#19
  16. I would email support about your licensing issue, see here: http://startisback.com/#support-tab I've had luck exporting HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\StartIsBack to a .reg file. However since many of SAB's features either use legacy or reimplemented Windows components some settings will be in other parts of the registry and will need to be reconfigured unless you want to track down those exact registry settings which isn't really recommended.
  17. Let's hope @Tihiy can keep the classic taskbar alive like he did with the start menu.
  18. You should be able to install on the other computer. If you can't activate you will get a 100 day trial no matter what. @Tihiy has always helped with issues. His support email is listed on this page and he has always taken care of activation issues quickly. http://startisback.com/#support-tab
  19. It would really suck. I hope @Tihiy has a plan or the ability to do this somehow, even if it's for StartAllBack+ for Win 12.
  20. What build are you on? This happens with old insider builds.
  21. I tried the new taskbar ungrouping and it looks atrocious.
  22. The new taskbar is awful. Maybe Tihiy will be able to reimplement it like with the Start Menu. I'll gladly pay an upgrade fee for all of my licenses for something like that. I truly believe SAB is underpriced for the functionality it gives.
  23. Tihiy if they remove the classic taskbar for Win12 do you think you'll be able to do anything to fix their yaml mess still?
  24. Strange, the are back to the way they were.
  25. The latest test build fixed the tooltips. Thanks @Tihiy!
