Well then just put a file with "_light ", that's it . The idea is to use older version is not only because they have less spyware , but also because of the multiple mismatches . For example , when the new 13.5 version calls up for that crap , there's none in that skin file : checkmate. To answer your question , yes , lots of bloat in the skin files.

Solved that a long time ago by using the dark theme from version 11 or 12 (? ) , don't remember , just replaced and voila , no crap. Here I attached a screencap of what I have in my 13.5's skin folder . I have zero crap.

No such software that could reduce the amount of blue light coming from LEDs. All it does just plays with RGB values to make it look like somewhat less blue. The problem is any LED emits blue light by itself.

It's because these LED backlights burn you retina. Try to find a CCFL monitor. Or purchase blue light blocking eyeglasses , at least.

Considering huge texts you usually write (I mean huge in a good sense), your mind is in quite good shape , so don't cut yourself short . I'm an ex-military and I damaged my ears with loud explosions and now I have tinnitus, it's like one million cats scratching your ears inside all at once , sometimes it changes to "just" hissing , esp. during nights and I go like this image below. True and still valid today ! Just measure power consumption with white theme. Doesn't matter , CRT , CCFL or LED - it would still be higher . Not to mention bright white borders are simply distracting . Remember instagram from 2010 with the terrible image quality and awful white (huge borders) . Why wouldn't they implement smth like nero borders ? I mean Nero photo viewer with neutral grey borders.

Don't agree , let your doctor sit beside a 27'' Dell all glowing with bright white light for several hours . Besides, I like NEUTRAL themes, not just dark-dark/blackish black . Let's say , light with a slight grey . It doesn't have to be blindingly white or acid blue ! The 90's raving parties are over.

To be frank , it's a blatant lie and a disgrace upon MS for using patented names. 1- You can't get 7.1 sound with 2 speakers (headphones). 2 - Dolby Atmos is something that only a good AV can decode and through HDMI . 3 - As for you situation, I'd try what your sound card software suggests. For example, in my Xonar I have spatial sound emulation in the supplied software . It's called "virtual 7.1 sound".

Real Atmos works only through HDMI port (doesn't matter if it's a sound card or just Nvidia's onboard audio). SPDIF is not enough . USB adds huge latencies. So , do you use HDMI port ? Or it's just simple active speakers with analogue inputs ? Then it's fake . It's just an emulation. Only DTS HD MA or Atmos through HDMI to your AV would count as real sound with 7.1 channels and it works for me.

Plug your headphones into the AV receiver . Solved. My receiver says Dolby Atmos on the LCD. It's with Vista. No app because it's not actually needed for the decoding.

Advice to everyone that wants to try win11 on real hardware . Make sure you have drivers first ! I had to mod several drivers . Audio and LAN drivers , for example. There were no drivers on manufacturers' websites. Also , don't forget to install the firewall before you connect it online ! You will get soooo many connections from every windows file . LOL. Block everything you don't want.

Atmos works on Vista . Why wouldn't it ? It's ancient tech . You need to choose "allow to pass HD sound to HDMI" (maybe another phrase) and your receiver will get the sound. For example in VLC under preferences/audio SPDIF/HDMI . Works for me 100%. I watch blurays with Atmos.
