Well yes , but some developers tend to make driver demands . There are several games that could run on Vista just fine and even better , but since there are no drivers : we're outta luck . I had this example with my girlfriend's windows 7 PC , where several games wanted a newer driver . I cheated and changed the driver numbers but those games still had glitches and I had to inf mod the newer ones to make them work. But then they removed the win 7 code from them comletely , so no more modding. Of course you can still play older games ... but no more new ones after a year or so. I read @Dixel had launched Iron Harvest Operation Eagle 2021 on Vista , which is a huge breakthrough *because it's a bleeding edge game and win 10 x64 only* and needed special newer drivers which he also got modded . But others are out of luck. From what I gather, the working version of this kernel is only 64-bit . But the "famous" 64-bit Vista's bug on "modern" hardware is not solved . So one would need to use Vista x86 and the 32-bit kernel .... and there's none. Circle closed ))))

Is too weak for Spellforce , even though the game is old. Why am I talking about SF ? It's an iconic DX9 game and a good example. The bare minimum for it is GTX 780 OC . To answer your question about the system, Windows 11 runs fine with the driver 471.96 and the old (hugely compatible) Titan , no glitches discovered by me personally . Don't know about win 10 , sorry. I have a preinstalled OEM software (by Siemens) that allows me to modify my system and system settings (for example I can delete/disable Windows "player" or the bloody "Media Center") and then create a bootable DVD with these changes . All within the European laws. Of course I can't share the image , it's only for my personal usage .

onboard UHD 770 graphics and retro gaming , I don't think so. Well what to count as retro , of course . If you mean 2015 is retro , then fine. For DX9/DX10 games , no. For real retro gotta grab smth like GTX Titan 6gb or Titan Z. I had terrible problems with the newer Titan X (native DX12) and older games.
