And more recent is Takasa airbag recall that affects near all airbag equipped cars from early 2000 onward. Problem is that airbag can harden and explode instead of filling up. I am pretty confident that all cars made from 2000 onward are affected but manufactures refuse recall most until someone dies for it failing and company gets sued. For me it originally started from frustration and hate towards Windows 8. Back in 2014 I was still running Windows XP and all sudden everyone were like "OMG xp is out of support, it will be flooded with viruses, it is totally unusable to anything, upgrade to windoze 8." and I hated it. There was plenty of Microsoft propaganda going on to increase sales of Windoze 8 for those who wanted OS that actually worked properly out of box and was designed for non bacon grease covered monitors. I decided to keep using Windows XP until life decided that I wont and was forced use that piece of s#it called office 365 on my personal system. So I decided take last sensible OS called Windows 7. Few years passed and I was sticking with Windows 7 and eventually was rooting for it. It was very decent operating system and had ACTUAL IMPROVEMENTS in my usage. During that time my XP pc fell out of use since I had no time for fun like before. Then Windoze 10 came out that was free update and MS forced it into my pc against my will (since that hidden option to force update to Windoze 10) and at that point it was personal for me. It messed up my computer totally and I had redo everything. If you need to force OS for some doesn't that mean there is something horribly wrong by design? Also everyone were so love with their Windoze 10 systems and praised Microsoft and were insisting everyone to use it and being hostitle to those who did not want it. I eventually ended up giving it a shot saying that I will never go back to older Windows versions. As vanilla it was horrible to use so I ended up installing classic shell and some other mods and it was more ok but still felt buggy and also someone in Microsoft decided that consumers were still not harmed enough when they added new useless task bars , then they decided to disallow disabling "anti consumer inexperience" aka bloatware downloader on home and pro edition of Windows. That combined with inability to pick what updates to download like on Windows 7 and older plus settings resetting after updates I decided I had enough and rolled back to Windows 7. When I mentioned what though from Windows 10 and what could be improved everyone were so insulted like I would have kicked a dog. It is just a software and not everyone want to use what you like. But everyone were thinking Microsoft was their friend and cared from them actually and that is why any critic was not ok. That point around 2015-2016 I decided to permanently ban Windows 10 on my personal network and stick with Windows 7 and newcomer Windows XP that was back in game I also got rid of most of internet services at that point and wont regret it. Then micracle happened and I was no longer required run any of those software on my personal system. It felt so good to install what I wanted and not install anything forcefully. Then Windows 7 eol date came and felt like I was last man standing behind using older OS. Everyone were thinking older Windows was only good for retrogaming and if you plugged into any network it would get flooded with viruses and hackers would turn into botnet even I knew that was bulls#it. Then I found site called MSFN.org while was looking some XP compatible browser and well here I am. I know this is long answer but you asked why and here is why. At this point in time I am fine for anyone use whatever they want BUT DO NOT TELL ME WHAT OS TO USE. I do not care if you got Windoze 10 or 11 and got picture of Microsoft CEO on it and you worship it, but do not push it down everyone throat. Some are too simple minded to see choice of os or choice of anything in this world. All is forced in this world liked or not and most are fine with it since "someone else knows you benefit better than you" And if someone think I am stupid, diehard or anything else because I said this then it must be that way. I do not have to please anyone.

I still play it sometimes when got someone to play with. It is nice for it low requirements. Only need some sort of light, table, sticks and balls to play and no computers or other devices

it is frustrating as many stores here uses checkout services instead of sending bill for you to pay. One called checkout finland here uses way too many domains, subdomains etc and if you reload purshace will fail but it takes money anyway. unfortunately companies do not want to give you that as it would reduce their profit and change to milk off their users. I am playing Beamng on Windows 7 with Logitec wheel and have not had issues. I dumped discord long ago when it turned into nasty place. These days I am using Mumble or Teamspeak for voice comms and BBS/email for other comms. Seems you are in school according what you said and I can say from experience that choosing what you will run as OS in college atleast can be hard. For me biggest issue was outlook web access school intra used and I needed intra to access any resources. It felt not work proper on anything. I actually had laptop I used exclusively for studies and had desktop machine at home for any personal work. Luckily those days are behind now. Just don't give up using what you like just because someone told you to do so. I know it can be hard as young but do not let anyone tell you how to live. I did that mistake when was younger and it was bad idea but also learnt what I really wanted. Now I am running whatever I want and any critics saying it is stupid are redirected to special place called /dev/null.

funny that I felt that for few years. I had other priorities in life than enjoying games. Now I still got other priorities but more free time enjoy games. Those wont count many unknown games that were served in BBS servers or personal sites here or in other European countries. Most of games were simple and small games made by developers for fun. Many of those are hard to find these days. Also there is still games done for dos by some Also I am not sure from PS2 but Xbox gets new games even today. There is new pc game ports and some unreleased beta or alpha games popping into internet as people dump devkits/port them. So collection is growing even though those platforms are dead in public eyes. I may stumble into recent gem that never heard before even today for xbox or dos/9x.

1050 was multimedia card. And any cards under 1070 kinda felt lame to me. There was better ones in older gen that worked with XP and vista offically. 980ti swept floor with 1060, 970 or 980 were faster than 1050 or 1050ti with same vram (outside 970 ram bug). 960 and 950 are comparable to 1050ti and 1050 but like said work on older windows too. For free those cards are very good but if you paid from 1000 series under 1070 was waste of money I was also wondering did OP actually bought core i7 and cheaped out gpu for 1050? Feels like buying ferrari with fiat punto engine.

I do not know but feels that voting wont matter as everyone feels to fall same empty promises from same parties every year. When elections are coming they promise moon from sky but after election they forget all. Also political memory is short here. I have to say that I can do nothing as I am not you. You have to decide yourself what to do. One thing I gotta say that dumbest possible thing to do is trying make yourself believe you only need "teh latest and (not always) greatest" and not look back to what works for you. Everyone seems to be falling for that and suffer from half assed systems. Also I do not know should I laugh or cry to those who want get rid of win10 since telemetry and go to spyware distro called ubuntu, install microsoft teams and all other spyware programs to it. You only changed your master that way. I give you two example for more realistic soluctions: Example 1 I personally banned Windoze 8+ on my personal network and any newer machine I service are only on my lab network which is behind different ip and network hardware. I installed Linux for dualboot on my notebook and on my desktop pc so can use it to do things Windows 7 can't do. I am running wide variety of operating systems on my network starting from Windows 3.11 for workgroups up to to Windows 7 and Linux and wont fall for "you can only use one os" meme. Example 2 One of my friend who is network admin. He partially lifted Windows 10 ban as he needed it to play some newer titles. He is running Windows 10 on his main workstation and got second workstation running Windows 7 that he uses for any serious use since win10 keep hosing up according to him. He is also running older Windows versions and linux like me. What distro I recommend now? Well something that got all you need by default and at the point writing this Salix OS is that. It is very minimal and got that one program per purpose philosophy. Full install takes less than 3gb of hdd space and it got celluloid for video/dvd player, quod libet for audio player, firefox for browser etc. And if you need more programs there is graphical installer that will automatically do it for you without need for pulling hair or smashing keyboard. Even though it is one of few gem in linux distros I need to give it honest critic. They could have had included more privacy respecting browser than Firefox like GNU/Librewolf or Ungoogled Chromium, but maybe I am just nitpick there

there is two tools you can use. One is process hacker 2.38 with it low level driver enabled. It is last for xp. You go to network tab then launch browser to see what sites does it connect. Look any network connections with your browser name. Also not that not all of connections mean data collection. Some of them can be related to site you are connecting. If same connections happens on many sites then it is spying addon. Second is MITM proxy that will need custom cert to be loaded on browser but it can see more You could learn use thing called Umatrix. That allow per site scope for allowing/blocking js. For example I can allow google scripts on google site while blocking scripts from google on this site or anything else.

@NotHereToPlayGamessince you are privacy aware person I am curious what addons are using in your 360chrome? I may have to give it a shot to access some sites that need newer js and wasm. I have used gecko based browsers for most of my life so not fully sure what works on chromium and even less on older one

if it makes you fell any better I felt mostly same long ago when was reaching adulthood. It is thing that everyone will go trough. Most including me just never spoke from it to anyone as I am person who likes to keep them as own thing. It will eventually ease off. I ended up spending lot of time on room alone with games or internet and ended up loop with no friends because did not want meet anyone. But that is in the past and eased off when got to college and these days I mostly worry from work and other things but I learnt not to let them control my life. I live day by day and try get best out of each of them. Just don't give up it will ease off eventually

I guess we all got different opinion to this but for me it was early 2000 before social media outburst. Back then games were mostly physical, most used landline and some were into wireless phones or those fancy new smartphone (older consept smartphone was pocket pc not device to post on twatter or other unsocial media) like my 6600 that was salvaged from trash bin long ago when it was few years old. Most still used IRLtalk combined with calling, texting or instant messaging or email or letters, but for it was mostly being in places physically with friends. I was out playing with friends on park, football field or other places or sometimes in their houses watching films or play multiplayer games with dead consept called splitscreen. Also console modding scene was big back then. Original Xbox was modder favorite it was able to play divx and other movie files, run emulators, play music and other cool stuff thanks to homebrew and modding scene. Today whole modding scene is replaced by 9 year old redditors and seems to be only into piracy or hacking into games (use cheats and not reverse engineer or mod them) and not interested trying utilize the hardware with homebrew software. Still hurts to think world went way it is now. Most friends around me seems to be hooked into unsocial media and they cant put their goddamn phones down for minute and feel so offended when I tell them put it down for while to spend time with me. Everytime it beeps they are looking them withing second from it. Put it on silent mode and let it sit on pocket until leave my house. I wont care what they do with their phone elsewhere but in my house it is my rules And they usually makes them acceptable with poor reasoning like "if one company can track why not let all others track me" or "i have nothing to hide let them spy me". Privacy is not all or nothing, it is about loosing something and just because you give data to one does not make it justifiable to give it for another violator. You can have privacy to some level without moving to mountains to live as Amish. Social media has ruined this world for good and I really wish there would be button that would make twitter and other go away. Too many people are addicted to social media and suffer depression from it as that is how algorithm keeps you hooked. Well atleast you can make personal choices. One is not install or browse those services on your phone. Second is delete those for good, then can go fuhrer and stop using your phone for useless things or go brick phones that I always been interested of. My old-school nokias allow most important feature of wireless phone which is to call on a move and my Casio f91-w non smart watch shows me what time is and also got second timer. My workstation is running trusted and tested operating system and software and I wont be on my machine most of my days, I still like meet people IRL and enjoy spending time on nature

I seen that on my Celeron 266 pc when was testing hardware functionality with XP to confirm there was no issues. For some reason APM was not on by default and that happened. If you got APM only board, xp and 2000 offers toggle to disable in on power control panel applet

worst there have been were in lenovo that caused grub to ruin uefi firmware rendering laptops unbootable. Back when I was in college I had MSDN access where could download LAB keys and ISO files for certain amount per year. It was how I was able learn use Windows editions and many of their programs. Actually some of my licenced operating systems uses those keys and iso files still

just boot to win10 or live media or something and rename acpi.sys to acpi.old to have backup then copy install that one to folder. It will be fine but if Windows file protection Window pop up like below press cancel and DO NOT give it cd as Windows XP+ does not like that you swap files and that tries revert it. Not sure if that will affect to sys files but if does better not try your luck

Back in day long ago when I was in school I was taught following for using internet: Do not use your real full name, do not use your real profile picture, do not tell your age, do not tell your address to unknown person. That was back when everyone used messaging boards and MSN messenger and other groups to talk online instead of social media. I had many "faceless" friends as kid that I never knew from their name, age or town in MSN messenger and they did not mine. Then the era of facebook came where idea was use your real face instead of some profile picture and real full name and all other and it ruined whole system for good.

but...but..but it must be real since it exist on twatter of fakebook. Long ago I made fbibook account thinking attend some communities but quickly learnt it was not what I expected. Everyone were narcissistic, I was though suspicious because did not have birthday, hometown, family info and picture of myself in profile and eventually left whole cancer for good and got no regrets. I stick to messaging boards I guess since here nobody cares that I am with picture of MTV3 channel mascot (aulis owl) and with my nickname and not real face and name. I never understood why I need have my own face everywhere.

my workplace wont require me to wear mask in my office luckily. Only if I am moving on other areas. I see some who wear mask even on car when they are in it alone. Do they wear one while they are alone in home too?

Maybe I should have had stated it as without huge bugs. At point I was testing it there there was performance bug on Ryzen cpu and Windows 11 and that made me mad since lab system had ryzen. I know there is nothing bug free but if bug causes me major headache it is unacceptable. Yeah there is small things under the hood but I cant see any huge deal-breaker reasons to upgrade on my personal system. If it fixes someone bug good, but for me it is another 200-300 euros waste so no thanks.
