  1. Ugh! "Not again!" I migrated to 360Chrome because Mozilla-based browsers were simply no longer working for websites that I have to visit (bank account, billpay, etc). And you could not deploy tricks such as faking a User Agent to get those non-working websites to work. These are basically "monopoly" websites. If you want electricity at the house, you only have ONE local electric company. If you want water at the house, you only have ONE local water company. If you want natural gas at the house, you only have ONE local natural gas company. If you want cable at the house, you only have ONE local cable company. (there are DSL options and Dish options, but a direct cable line has its advantages) My local water billpay website, effective within the last two weeks, no longer works in 360Chrome v11 or v12 when it has for the past year! They "redesigned" their website and there are two "flyover" bubbles citing an error message with a javascript function (do not recall them offhand). This "monopoly" water billpay website is also not working in NM27, NM28, Basilisk/Serpent 52, Basilisk/Serpent 55, or BNavigator. I can still log in to that "monopoly" using 360Chrome v13 or v13.5 - so I guess not all hope is lost. This is getting far too frustrating. Also within the last month, my local natural gas company "monopoly" did not renew their contract with a free online billpay service (MyCheckFree.com). I've been paying that "monopoly" for DECADES using MyCheckFree.com. They are forcing a "phone app" for equivalent billpay - I will not be using a "phone app"! So I'm now fully in support of "killing trees". I was doing both of these billpay "monopolies" via PAPERLESS but now have them mailing me paper statement as opposed to using their "redesigned" website or "phone app".
  2. Open Settings -> Shortcuts -- chrome://settings/shortcut Click the F3 listed for "Switch to next tab" and change it to whatever you prefer that isn't already listed as being used for another shortcut.
  3. No prob. I suspect it is related to this -- chrome://media-engagement And I suspect you do not delete cookies and cache on exit. Digging further, thanks.
  4. Thanks. Do you know if it happened after visiting any particular website?
  5. Everything I'm finding shows the larger your graphics card RAM, the more it has to map with physical RAM - for all 32bit operating systems. I'm also showing most NVIDIA GeForce 7300 SE to be 256 MB and you cite 512 MB. For example -- https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-7300-se.c726 That is very likely why you're available RAM is down around 3 instead of 3.5.
  6. Not sure if Hardware Acceleration affects the number that XP reports. I do not use HA, has always caused much more harm than good on my machines.
  7. Just how do these spammers/bots create an account and how do they decide which threads to spam? Can't be random when this robot hit this thread twice. I'm certainly not going to fall for it and no way in Hades am I going to click on his d@mn estub httpS links. Though I do admit that I am curious if the "padlock" is GREEN on his d@mn estub "secure" links.
  8. re: status bar icons - Correct, they do not exist in DcBrowser. The "Optimize memory" has actually saved me from "possible" crashes on a number of occasions. I get a yellow exclamation systray out-of-memory error on my Core 2 Quad machine because it only has 2 GB RAM. I get the error in v11, v12, v13, and v13.5. Doesn't matter which, they all do it! But I only get it when I have my finance software open, a Microsoft Excel budget spreadsheet open, and two or more tabs open in 360Chrome. One tab and my systray RAM monitor hovers around 80% used. Open a second tab and it exceeds 80% by just enough to flag an XP systray notification. I can generally hit that "Optimize memory" icon right away and drop back down to 80%. It's enough to at least finish whatever finances I'm trying to track then close all but one tab and all is good.
  9. When you go to Device Manager, what is listed under Display adapters?
  10. XP doesn't report the portion of memory that is reserved for graphics.
  11. Thanks. No biggie, my Stylus blocks those "dumb" (in my opinion) images anyway.
  12. The tools at the bottom-right are added by the skin/theme in 360Chrome. In 360Chrome, they are part of the "status bar" which DcBrowser only displays when you "hover" over a link - I personally have zero trust in a status bar that only displays on "hover", I want it to ALWAYS be present.
  13. I use my 360Chrome rebuilds on five different insurance websites, four different billpay websites, too-many-to-count online shopping websites, three different 401k websites, two retirement IRA websites, three credit card websites, two savings accounts websites, and a checking account website. I run a small business out of my home and most of these are business accounts. ZERO worries! Trust it WAY MORE than Firefox builds! Full disclosure - the ONLY browser I trust more is one called Iridium but make sure you disable the Safe Browsing and DNS prediction "features" (there may be others, those two come to mind as enabled by default). I don't personally use it but I am familiar with it. It does require Win7 or higher (which is why I don't use it). The "modified" versions are rebuilds by Humming Owl. There is also a set of modified builds by me that are commonly referred to as "rebuild" and "ungoogled". The two sets exists in separate threads. I encourage trying BOTH and letting your own personal preference dictate which you like best. Me and Humming Owl both remove the telemetry aspects. We do have slightly different approaches but both approaches are effective and extensively tested by a small number of MSFN members. I prefer to go one step further and do a ton of GUI modifications on top of just telemetry removals. Which you prefer is really a matter of personal preference. I suggest trying BOTH and you won't offend either one of us if you opt for his versus mine, mine versus his. Hope that helps and keep us posted.
  14. My Core 2 Duo T7500 @ 2.2 GHz w/ 3.5 GB RAM (4 GB physical, XP reports 3.5 GB) [laptop running on BATTERY, my scores are 20 to 40 points LOWER when battery is being charged] -- ungoogled v11 == 408.64 401.41 400.73 401.64 ungoogled v12 == 411.20 418.43 418.22 414.37 Chromium v49 == 522.76 534.37 526.37 521.10 (default User Agent, scores are 10 to 20 points LOWER when my default v49 config fakes a v80 User Agent - but the test still shows v49 so it is smart enough to know I'm not really using v80) New Moon 27.6.0a1 (2017-10-29) == 71.34 74.14 74.87 New Moon 28.1.0a1 (2018-09-21) == 52.80 59.48 59.56 Mypal 27.9.4 == 69.85 71.79 73.20 BNavigator 0.9.7608a1 (20201106) == 48.37 57.45 59.68 Arctic Fox 27.9.19 (December 2019) == 536.39 513.07 521.80 (this was my default browser until several web sites stopped working and I was forced to go Chromium-based) [and the reason for my username due to lack of creativity] Kafan == 334.26 340.11 347.91 DcBrowser == 403.97 355.36 375.12 (very first test was only 85, probably ran it too close to very first launch and DcBrowser must have been "doing something" for "first run" [all browsers do funny "stuff" on "first run" (even if you disable with a flag)])
  15. I can't really do that. But I do have a Core 2 Duo laptop and a Core 2 Quad desktop to get some comparison scores. But those will remain on SP3. I could put an x86 SP2 VM on them but that's likely not the same for true scores.
  16. It does change your username for logging in also. Please change my name from ArcticFoxie to NotHereToPlayGames Thanks in advance.
  17. Thanks. Awaiting reply.
  18. It works fine for only two attendees but as soon as the meeting hits three or more people then everything seems fine on my end but other attendees were constantly asking, "Is anyone else having issues with audio?". So I've had to stick with a Win7 VM and the official Webex App (version 40.9.4-6).
  19. AMD Sempron 3100+ @ 1.8 GHz w/ 2.0 GB RAM to XP x86 SP2, ran four times for a good idea of repeatability range -- ungoogled v11 == 178.18 164.95 151.64 155.83 ungoogled v12 == 151.25 166.37 173.67 172.78 (had one test at 40 and one at 90, assumed CPU was doing something in background so ignored these two results) Chromium v49 == 235.44 261.11 268.64 235.16 New Moon 27 == 31.08 33.17 32.83 31.46 (ran six more times and all results were in the low 30s) Mypal 27.9.4 == 33.32 31.09 39.53 40.77 Kafan Modified == would not run in XP x86 SP2 (maybe this is already known, I haven't been following it) DcBrowser Modified == 72.11 114.43 80.18 35.03 65.14 57.55
  20. I've reverted my AMD Sempron 3100+ @ 1.8 GHz w/ 2.0 GB RAM to XP x86 SP2. Basically got tired of deleting files and registry entries every time I try something in DcBrowser so now I can dedicate this ol' Sempron for those comparisons. This will also give me something I don't mind keeping on a "Windows Classic" (ie, Win2k) OS theme for a future Win2k theme for my 360Chrome releases.
  21. When you change names, does that change my login also? I would like to change my name from ArcticFoxie to NotHereToPlayGames but would prefer my login/password to be unaffected.
  22. Ignored! PROBLEM solved! I feel better already!
  23. You PIECE OF WORK! Who the H#LL CARES! I viewed your profile because I thought to myself, "what a piece of work, what THREAD was that piece of work commenting in, I wasn't going to reply but decide I will anyway". YOU REALLY ARE ONE PIECE OF WORK !!! I had you on IGNORE once, I don't know why you INSIST ON STALKING ME !!!... It's not the other way around like your ego tells you, it is YOU that is STALKING me !!!...
  24. That test is FAST, the results popped up before I even realized the test had started. XP x64 360Chrome v11 scored 748.95 on first run, 763.92 on second run, 777.18 on third run, 745.48 on fourth run. It will not run for me in DcBrowser in XP x64.
