My Browser Builds (Part 3)
NotHereToPlayGames replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
I do not use uBlock Origin, but what you guys describe is an EASY fix. At least it sounds like it is. What it sounds like is a CSS issue where width and height need assigned. -
Try this -- https://www.dropbox.com/s/th8jdp8kok2966s/VistaGames_1.0.0.0_Addon.zip?dl=1 It's an "addon" for slipstreaming onto an XP install disk but just extract it then extract the games.exe inside and that should get you what you need.

My Browser Builds (Part 3)
NotHereToPlayGames replied to roytam1's topic in Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes
Thanks. I've been away from NM 27/28 for quite a while but just noticed that American Water now works on NM28 only to have Ally Bank not work. So it's still 360Chrome v13.5 for all of my needed web sites. -
I do. I'm not positive on 2005 but I know I have the 2007 XP-port for Vista's Chess, Shanghai (Mahjong), Solitaire, and Spider Solitaire. I'll dig through my archives as I suspect I may also have the 2005.

My Browser Builds (Part 3)

Anyone know the trick as to why https://secure.ally.com/ lands on an error page instead of username/password page in NM28? -
Please STOP referring to 360Chrome as "outdated". It is intended for an audience that DOES NOT CARE about having up-to-the-second "updated" web browser or even OS for that matter. There are a thousand reasons that I could list as to why I remain on XP. This thread was NEVER intended to be a "debate" on what hardware or OS we run! If your level of "required updates" requires you to run Win11, then go out and get Win11 and STOP expecting TOO MUCH from an "NT-Family OS / Browser". If your threshold for "unsecure" and "outdated" hardware is the same as MOST readers of this thread, then 360Chrome will solve 90% of your browser-related issues. But to think that ANY of the browsers here at MSFN will work on 100% of "modern" web sites is UNREALISTIC and that "debate" is not the intent of this thread - ie, "Browsers working on Older NT-Family OSes".

Do you have the .paf version by chance? If not, I'll take the non-paf to test. Tried 18 different versions of Firemin and they all CRASHED 360Chrome v13.5 on a 1GB RAM system. edit - just tried 1.51 .paf and 1.57 .paf, you have to MANUALLY trim RAM and it didn't really seem to do anything. Guess I'll keep experimenting...

You have already asked this once. You need a user script per your own solution here -- https://msfn.org/board/topic/182993-360-extreme-explorer-arcticfoxie-versions/?do=findComment&comment=1224207

"IT" isn't exactly a career that attracts girls. I went to Purdue University for Electrical Engineering. We had a saying at Purdue -- "Purdue University - where the men are MEN... and the women are too..."- 922 replies

I'd be half tempted to "put money on it" that this is the type of forum that garners ZERO females. Not to stereotype or anything.- 922 replies

Like I said, Snake Oil. There really is never any "debate until the end of time" over something that REALLY WORKS! ie, Placebo Effect. So yeah, use it if you want to, don't use it if you don't want to. "Brilliant" marketing! I think you know which side I fall on To each their own. Just don't get all hostile towards me just because I have a different opinion in that "debate until the end of time"

How many "save the planet" folks are really even aware of "rare earth" versus "fossil fuel" and how both effect the environment? https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2009/05/clean-energys-dirty-little-secret/307377/ https://www.extremetech.com/extreme/194010-rare-earth-elements-are-this-centurys-crude-oil- 922 replies

We have different definitions of "works fine". That looks horrible to this XP-user. The title bar height is WAY OFF. -

I would like to give it a try. But it may be a couple weekends before I can do a reinstall.
